"Gatto" is a Limited A-Tier Costume for the Embalmer, Aesop Carl. It was introduced during the 5th Anniversary, and could only be obtained by purchasing the offline package, The Silent Rebel, of which preorders ran from April 28th, 2023 to July 4th, 2023. The packages first began to ship on December 8th, 2023.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Aesop's physical appearance is similar to his original costume. His hair is a little lighter than original and appears more grown out. His general feel is lighter than usual.
Outfit[]
Aesop is wearing an open white lab coat over a black vest and a white tie. He also has a grayish blue striped undershirt. His pants are plaid light gray, ending above his ankles, his shoes a polished black alongside gold details. The mask usually covering his face is tucked beneath his chin. He has multiple flasks in the lab coat's chest pocket as well as a bigger flask at the side of his hip. Gatto's cat is sitting atop his left shoulder and the number 5 is carried on his arm as reference to the 5th Anniversary. Small round glasses are placed on top of his head.
Coffin and Makeup Box[]
The Coffin is changed into an opaque glass box with silver embellishments on the edges, tops, and corners. The crystalline lid is embossed with a cat curled on its back, surrounded by a silver filigree adorned with two small gold circles at the top and bottom of the sigil. This combination of filigree and gold ornaments appears again on the corners of the lid, as well as on the back of the coffin. The coffin features a grey plush interior and more gold beads. The lid and back of the coffin feature faint writing and chemical formulas.
The Makeup Box becomes a tan leather carrying case. The front of the makeup box features a long and thin darker pocket with a gold clasp, a small card holder, and a compartment holding three small coloured bottles. The left side has another compartment, as well as a picture of a cat (presumably Princess) dangling from the zipper as a key-chain. The back of the box features the same long pocket as the front, as well as a smaller clasped container. It is adorned with paw-print shaped stains, and two more coloured bottles. The right side of the briefcase is devoid of any pockets.
Special Effects[]
Dark scribbles will occasionally rise from his head during game play. A question mark will appear over his cat's head periodically.
Backstory[]

Cat is the only companion in Gatto's solitary life. Gatto's outstanding embalming techniques were a pathway to join the Uriel[sic] family and research "Eternal Beauty" for him. During the research, Gatto gradually discovers the lies hidden behind the research and decides to uncover the truth in his own way.

Truth & Inference, welcome to the new chapter
During the third anniversary of "Identity V", a new parallel world project - Truth & Inference was officially launched. Lady Truth, Mr. Inference, "D.M.", "White", "Noir" and other characters successively joined, which not only attracted the attention of the detective agency, the Mélodis Family and other camps, it also shows a series of cases from a new perspective, adding richer content and fun to the chase between players.
Starting today, the story under the truth will welcome a new chapter - the "Silent Rebel" animated PV contains keywords such as potion, Ulliel, mad family, hunter, and prey, leading to a story about silence, confession, a wonderful story of escape, rebellion and redemption!

Be silent and rebel, keep your faith
Silence sometimes does not mean obedience and giving up, but it is accumulating the courage and strength to fight back! Living in the cage of hypocrisy and witnessing the cruel scene, Embalmer - "Gatto" did not choose to escape, but brewed a silent rebellion, is about to use a fatal blow to destroy the false dream and usher in his own salvation.
In the costume poster, Embalmer - "Gatto" is leaning in the crystal coffin, holding a measuring cup in his left hand, as if he is still conducting the final experiment, and the ground is blooming with a sea of magnificent flowers. The sun shines on the upper body of "Gatto". His expression is plain but tenacious. He rises from the sea of flowers and declares war on the cage!
Embalmer - "Gatto" is well-dressed, with a well-tailored gray striped shirt, gray plaid trousers and a black plaid vest hinting at his slightly gloomy past. The white coat is not only a standard outfit for scientific researchers, but also symbolizes he rushes towards the light; the flask on his waist, the test tube in his pocket and the measuring cup in his hand contain potions of different colors, mixing a mysterious potion that is enough to reverse the situation; in order to conduct experiments more devotedly, "Gatto" puts on his glasses which he was casually pushed to his hair, and the mask was pulled down to his chin, revealing the lower half of his face that was rarely shown on weekdays; the golden "5" badge on his left arm showed the fifth anniversary of the Embalmer - "Gatto", the limited package occupies a unique position in the costume. The white kitten lying on the shoulder looks forward curiously with wide eyes.
A silent rebel who is not afraid of twists and turns of fate and will never abandon his faith!
Trivia[]
- The name "Gatto" means "cat" in italian.
- The cat on "Gatto's" shoulder is named Snow White. His other two cats are named Alexander II and Little Bangs.
