Melly Plinius, also known as "Queen Bee", is a Difficulty Level 2 Hunter available for purchase after the completion of the prologue. She is the Hunter identity of the Entomologist, and one of 34 playable Hunters added to Identity V.
Appearance
Melly is a pale, gaunt figure reminiscent of a fairy. Her braided hair is undone, with the two longest bangs dangling down her face like antennae. Her insectoid eyes are light olive with mantis-like pseudopupils, long eyelashes, and purple veins. Silver antennae poke out of her forehead, the right antenna slightly longer than the left. A dark, purplish scar is visible on her left cheek. Her right hand has a silvery, clawed exoskeleton. Her left hand is clawed but remains skin.The skin on her chest is bruised. Sprouting from her back is a pair of massive insectoid wings comprised of a bee swarm. They are black and foggy in texture, with the edges bearing holes.
She wears a tattered, olive green trench coat with a black collar, olive-green pinstripe trousers, and no shoes. Beneath her coat is a tattered white shirt collar. The coat's edges are slightly reminiscent of an insect's abdomen. The trousers' bottoms are torn, resembling insect tarsal spines.

In the main storyline trailer for Cage of Yesteryear, Melly recounts her past to the Reporter—the dazzling research that everyone admired, which, despite being nothing more than her mundane daily life, became something coveted. Facing betrayal, she endured a long period of pain and struggle. Recalling this, she transforms into a "Queen Bee", summoning a swarm of insects to hunt down the Reporter! A dangerous situation is imminent; how will the story unfold?
"Queen Bee"'s meticulously braided hair was now disheveled, her pale, almost translucent skin revealing bluish veins, and her golden compound eyes rationally and coldly surveyed her surroundings. The hem of her once-neatly tailored research uniform was torn like a withered leaf, riddled with tears, making her slender figure appear even more ethereal. Her increasingly arthropod-like right hand resembled both bone and a stinger, and the wings on her back were shrouded in black mist; only upon closer inspection could one discern they were the swarm of insects surrounding her.
The long period of pain and struggle eventually transformed into a nest that enveloped her destiny, giving birth to her true new life.
