[A Costume] Geisha - Amber Tears (Beauty Form), an exquisite gemstone headdress is dotted in the beautiful bun, a crystal butterfly quietly lands on her forehead, pink petals bloom around her eye sockets, like spring condensed on her gentle eyebrows.
The cherry blossom pattern kimono presents a semi-transparent texture, candy-like crystals grow on the edge of the belt, and the spreading pointillism is like a broken rainbow. The melting sleeves and skirt hem are flowing with beautiful memories that have long passed. The folding fan in the hand is frozen at the moment of opening, with cherry blossom tassels hanging on the handle, and a butterfly can be vaguely seen flying in the colorful fan.
[A Costume] Geisha - Amber Tears (Prajna Form), the hair on her head is scattered like a waterfall, the crystal hair accessories have become dim, the melted resin drips from her face, and the inverted facial features are weird and terrifying, making it difficult for people to recall the once peaceful and beautiful old image. Design Idea Sketch
The daughter of an oriental merchant in a small town fell in love with a young craftsman, who made a pair of resin dolls for her as a token of their love. However, a sudden fire burned down the craftsman's shop. In order to save the dolls, the craftsman rushed into the fire and never came out again. The girl was heartbroken and died soon after. This costume is the doll that was rescued in the girl's fantasy, and it is also the happy life that she should have had. However, the burnt and melted clothes and sleeves have hinted at the cruel and tragic reality.
The first sketch was based on the Irotomesode kimono, wooden clogs and fans from the late 18th century Edo period, with a more ornate train and half sleeves with melted resin effects, while creating a pointillism color block printing effect.
The second version is refined and adjusted based on the Beauty form of sketch 2 and the Prajna form of sketch 1, neatly summarizing the color tendencies of the two forms and opening up the color contrast of the two forms.
The materials are drawn and refined in three views.
