This article contains information on a Truth & Inference Character.
This character is part of an alternate universe within Identity V called Truth & Inference, which is not connected to the game's main storyline.

Anna, known by her alias Echo (also possibly translated as Encore), is Lady Truth's best friend and Hebe's adopted sister. She was a student at Lone Moon Ladies' School until her sudden "incident" and eventual disappearance.

Appearance[]

Childhood[]

She is a small child with long blonde hair and black button eyes while wearing a tattered hat and white dress.

Lore[]

Anna and Lady Truth grew up together in the same orphanage along with Mr. Inference, Paranormal Detective and "Crimson". They were best friends as both shared similar experiences in the orphanage and were isolated from other kids. Later, Anna was adopted from the orphanage by a wealthy art dealer, the father of Hebe. She had a natural eye for aesthetics, and despite how talented Hebe was or how hard Hebe worked, Anna surpassed her with raw talent.

Their father later sent Anna and Hebe to Lone Moon Ladies' School on January 5th, XXXX, a renowned educational facility highly regarded for its ability to produce both the most outstanding artists in every medium and elegant members of high society. Anna was tasked to take care of Hebe, due to Hebe's disability.

After entering the facility, Anna's liking of the novel Knight of the Lone Moon increased due to its author being her literature teacher. Anna was soon spotted meeting in secret with the school's Art Assistant in private after curfew, breaching the school rules. She was pardoned as the assistant resigned from his position, but her behavior was noticeably different after that incident.

On March 25th, XXXX, Anna was reported to have gone mad, and the Schoolmistress locked her within the castle tower as a last resort. In distress, her sister Hebe wrote to Lady Truth asking for both a rescue operation and an investigation. Anna is reported missing shortly by her blind classmate Clio, who claimed that Anna had walked into the painting of the Chausson Princess.

However, the truth was different: Anna had actually solved the story of the Legend of Crescent and found out the secret tunnel in the old castle from before. She pretended to be mad to be isolated by the Mistress so her plan of escaping from the school with the Fine Arts Assistant would succeed. Her plan was carried out during the "Moonbeam of Hope" event, an annual three-day festival that allowed more ships to pass by the dock. From here, she succeeded, and now her status is unknown.

In Succubus's Story[]

"Succubus" later states that Anna had eloped with her lover and left her old life behind. Anna had become accustomed to the lavish life of a great artist, but her creativity had dwindled, eventually causing her to die in both debt and poverty. Combined with the "Oath of the Traitor" event, it seemed that Succubus was referring to what happened to Anna back then, about her plan of escaping the school with her "lover" who was most likely Fine Arts Assistant. However, the rest of the story is yet to be confirmed, as it was only Succubus's perspective of Anna's story. The truth may be different from what she told.

Trivia[]

  • Anna's alias at the Lone Moon Girls' School - "Echo" is the name of an Oread who resided on Mount Cithaeron in Greek Mythology. In Narcissus' story, she was a Nymphe who was after Narcissus but got rejected because the man refused to be romantically involved with any woman. Coincidentally, Narcissus also made an appearance in The Oath of the "Traitors".
  • Anna's alternate translation of her alias - "Encore", had an entirely different meaning from Echo.
    • Encore means a repeated or additional performance of an item at the end of a concert, as called for by the audience. This has more relation to the stage, specifically Golden Rose Theater. However, because Anna had no relation to this event, this translation of her nickname may not be considered official.
