Cannoneer is a Limited A-Tier Costume for the Mercenary, Naib Subedar. It was obtainable from the Illusion Hall with Echoes only during parts 2 & 3 of the Mitsuji Kamata Crossover.
Availability[]
Despite being a true Limited Costume (which are denoted by the "limited" tag found in the top right of certain card icons), it can return in the Illusion Hall several times if its crossover series gets a re-release or another part of the collaboration. It always returns with its pairing costume The Renewer.
- It was originally available for purchase during the Mitsuji Kamata Crossover Part 2 from April 27th to May 17th, 2023.
- It returned for purchase during the Mitsuji Kamata Crossover Part 3 from June 21st to July 12th, 2023.
- It returned for purchase during the Mitsuji Kamata Crossover Return from January 25th to February 28th, 2024.
- It returned for purchase during the Mitsuji Kamata Crossover Return from April 3rd to May 7th, 2025.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Naib has a red panda's ears and tail. He has red markings around his eyes and white ones above his eyebrows to resemble a red panda. He also has a bit of brown hair poking out from under his aviator cap, when it is usually unseen. According to Cannoneer's description he has lost an arm, however it is unclear which one is mechanical.
Outfit[]
Naib dons a black aviator cap wrapped around his head by bronze goggles with a brown leather strap. The lenses of the goggles are blue and glow. Around his shoulders is a brown shawl that is slightly burnt. Underneath this he wears a white button-up shirt. His black leather pants are held up by brown three-point suspenders, the left strap having a bronze badge with a star in the center pinned to it. Around his waist are four small bags attached by three belts. His arms and fingers are plated with bronze. Connecting his elbows to his shoulder pads are black tubes, the one on his left being ribbed and significantly larger than the other. On his right shoulder pad is a glowing amber circle. Lastly, he wears brown boots with bronze buckles.

Design Notes[1][]
The journey to explore the fog begins again! The brave men continue to explore the world outside the fog and haze. Going deeper, he hopes to uncover the mystery of the Country of Mist and learn the truth under the thick fog.

The second collab costume Mercenary - Cannoneer and Soul Weaver - The Renewer continues Mr. Mitsuji Kamata's best creative technique, vividly displaying animal images in an anthropomorphic way, and incorporating retro mechanical elements to make it show a unique charm.
Mercenary- Cannoneer is based on a red panda. The furry fan-shaped ears on the hood, the red eyeshadow next to the eyes and the red, brown and white nine-node ring pattern on the back all give people a sense of compactness and agility. The thick armor, the mechanical arms connected by steam devices, the sharp scratches on the wrist guards and the badge on the chest make people feel his determination and bravery.
Trivia[]
- The costume originally made a pre-release cameo during the official announcement trailer of Mitsuji Kamata Crossover and later the 1st part trailer before being announced as an official costume on the 2nd part announcement.
- Wearing this skin with the accessories Tiger Tail or Cat Tail will remove his red panda tail.
