Drakaina is an A-Tier Costume for the Dream Witch, Yidhra. It was introduced in Season 24 Essence 1.

Physical[]
Yidhra's skin is a sickly pale with golden scars showing on her face. Her snake tail is now is covered with vermilion, reptilian, dragon-like scales while the middle part stays white. A few of white scales is also visible on her hands. Hair matches the tail with sunset like gradient, loose hair flows down her back. Yidhra's hairstyle is crowned with two pairs of golden flaming horns. She also wears golden fingernail guards and her lips are glossy red.
Clothing[]
She is wearing a multi-layered white dress with long puffy sleeves, embellished with gold metallic accents. Upon this, she dons a cape made of panels, on which rests a golden pauldron connected to the necklace. Golden chains flow from the bottom part of the dress, they also form a neckpiece combined with a flaming wing pendant and a large white medallion with a golden dragon. On her head there is a golden decorative tiara to which a burnt veil (matching the dress) was attached to. Yidhra's eye mask is golden and embroidered, matching the cuffs.

She has the same pale skintone as Yidhra, her hair is styled in a hazel braided updo. The Follower's eyes are golden and her lips are stitched shut.
Clothing[]
She wears a simplified version of Yidhra's outfit, a white dress with long puffy sleeves, embellished with gold and black metallic accents. Upon this, she dons a white cape with black clock face. Her veil, unlike Yidhra's is semi-transparent and dark with chains. Her outfit is accessorised with black tights, dark long boots and a golden glowing pocket watch.
Weapon[]
Her pickaxe has turned into a golden ornamental cross.

Design Concept[]
The Dream Witch - Drakaina is the last surviving dragon of the war. She was taken by the the faithful followers of the White Dragon and spent her life hidden in a church in the highlands. Her body had to appear restrained and eerily sacred, and as a dragon, we also gave her elements of dragon-like scales and tail.
The follower is set up to be one of the followers of the church guarding the Dream Witch, dressed in the uniform of the White Dragon's followers, with the weapon in their hands being a giant clock hand. But even as a guard, facing the imprisoned dragon feels intimidating and chilling.
Initial Sketches[]
According to the story, the Dream Witch costume is a noble red dragon in captivity, wearing a nun's outfit with some dragon-like characteristics.
The initial sketching phase quickly gave a design that was in line with the story, but lacked a high level of quality and clear cut dragon features. So the two sketches were combined, and the material performance and details were enhanced.
The combined sketches enhance the clock elements to better represent the "red dragon bound by the clock", adds a golden neckline shawl to reinforce the sense of nobility, and significantly enhances the dragon tail, which is then refined to completion.
Finally, fog effects are added to enhance the sense of mystery around the character who has fallen into a deep sleep.
Costume Details[]
- The luminous clock on her chest is a symbol of Drakaina's status, but is also a nameless and ancient shackle. The ruby on her neck is luxurious and elegant, showing the former glory of it's owner. The layered bracelets also hint at her captivity.
- The elaborately made shawl highlights Drakaina's status as a dragon, and adds a sense of intimidation that cannot be taken away.
- Even though she is well dressed, she cannot hide the truth of her captivity. The heavy chains wrapped around the dragon's tail seem to be suppressing her from awakening her draconic powers.
- The follower holds the heavy clock needle in her hand, as if this can imprison the soul of the red dragon. But who is the keeper and who is the real prisoner?
Showroom Notes[]
The dragon hunters in the darkness attacked Drakaina, but the draconic powers in her blood was awakened, and she flew into the air to counterattack.
The dragon hunters' sword rained down on Drakaina like beams of light, only to be deflected by her. The follower, who guards her, cowered the whole time, seemingly trying to stop Drakaina, but were rebuffed by her proud posture. Even though she was confined in chains, the dragons could easily manipulate the guard like puppets.
Costume Effects[]
With the lights and shadows cast around in the room, Drakaina approached, her tail swaying gracefully and the ruby around her neck shining brightly.
