Slide
The Dancer will gain the Slide ability when in range of her Music Box. After tapping the button, she will gracefully twirl to the right towards the camera. If she is still within her Music Box's range afterwards, she will be able to twirl to the left for the next 10 seconds. This ability has a 20-second cooldown.

Statistics[]

  • Quantity: 3
  • Slide cooldown: 20 seconds

Gameplay[]

The Female Dancer starts with 3 Music Boxes at the beginning of the match that cannot be swapped with different tools until she runs out of Music Boxes. She can adjust the tune of the music box between fast or slow tune to either make survivors' or hunters' actions faster or slower within the music box's range. The longer Female Dancer winds the music box, the longer the music boxes' range. Female Dancer can pick up dropped Music Boxes, allow her to reuse it again later in the match. If Female Dancer is on the music box's range, she can perform a Slide to gain distance from the Hunter and can use it again one more time for the next 10 seconds before the cooldown.

The Fast Music Box increases Female Dancer and other survivors' movement speed, pallet and window interactions, Cipher Machine decoding, Exit Gate opening, and Rocket Chair countdown. Survivors including the Female Dancer will retain the fast Music Box effect for two seconds after leaving the Music Boxes' range.

Whereas the Slow Music Box reduces the Hunters' movement speed, pallet and window interactions, attacking, Rocket Chair countdown and their overall animations. Hunters will retain the slow Music Box effect for two seconds after leaving the Music Boxes' range. However, they can destroy the music box preventing Female Dancer from picking it up and removing the effect on both Survivors and Hunters.

Other Details[]

  • Fast Music Boxes can also increase survivors' healing speed.
  • Music Boxes will also disappear and will be irretrievable if they are left for 5 minutes.
    • This also happens if Female Dancer has been eliminated or escaped.
  • Both Survivors and Hunters can see the Music Box's radius and can hear the Music Box being played.

Female Dancer's Tips:[]

  • It is recommended to use slow boxes containing Hunters, as the Slow Music Box can reduce the Hunter's movement speed and extends the Hunter's animation, and interaction time of breaking the pallet. It doesn't affect other Survivors including Female Dancer herself.
  • Placing Slow Music Boxes right next to the Pallets is common for kiting as Female Dancer, as Hunter may take a risk on destroying the Music Box, granting you a free Pallet stun on the Hunter once they finish.
  • Fast Music Boxes are commonly used for decoding Cipher Machines, use it to increase Female Dancer's decoding speed to complete Cipher Machines faster.
  • It is not advisable to stack multiple Fast Music Boxes if the Hunter is nearby as you are forced to leave them behind and risk the Hunters destroying the Music Box.
  • If the Hunter chooses to destroy the Music Box, use the opportunity to create distance from them.

Other Survivors' Tips:[]

  • If you see Female Dancer placing slow music boxes at the kiting area, she is there to support you by slowing down the Hunter. Use that to your advantage to extend your kite around the music box.

Hunter's Tips:[]

  • Tolerance or Addiction are good Persona Talents to resist Female Dancer's slow music box.
  • Using Excitement can be useful for resisting Female Dancer's Slow Music Box for 5 Seconds
  • If you are convinced that the Music Boxes may cause hindrance to your chase or benefit the survivors, be sure to destroy it.

Trivia[]

  • If Margaretha is idle long enough in the range of the music, she will start dancing. There are two different dances, one for each speed.
  • The Slide move the Female Dancer performs is called a Pirouette, the act of spinning on one foot with the raised foot resting on the knee of the supporting leg.
  • The ability to pick up music boxes and slide was added in July 2021.
