Identity V Wiki

Patricia Dorval, who has a curse hidden in her blood, has brought endless pain and great power to herself. She believes that to wear a crown is to bear its weight.

Patricia Dorval, also known as the Enchantress and formerly the Shaman, is a Contain/Assist Hybrid Type and Difficulty 1.5 Survivor available for purchase after completion of the prologue. She is one of 50 playable Survivors added to Identity V.

Now I know why the seed of sin is the product of violence.

—Patricia Dorval (Deduction Quest No. 9)

Appearance

Patricia is a slender doll with dark skin. She has black locs accessorized with red and grey hair jewelry pulled into a crimson headband, straight, harsh black eyebrows, and large, shiny amber button eyes. White paint is patterned on her face, shoulders, and arms. She also wears dark brown lipstick.

She wears a black corset with white frills, a red ribbon and three matching buttons with an ankle-length, pleated crimson skirt with white frills and a white petticoat, white stockings, and leather heels with three straps on each. A thick black choker is around her throat, and a leather necklace with animal fangs hangs around her neck. She also wears dangly golden earrings, a black-and-gold metal wristguard on her left wrist, and a black glove with a thick cuff on her right hand. A tear is visible in her skirt, showing cotton stuffing. She holds an ape skull in her right hand.

Gameplay

The Enchantress is a contain/assist-type Survivor who is able to easily able to stun any Hunter near her. She accumulates up to 5 stacks of her stun ability by being within close distance of a Hunter, by being hit by them, or if someone she has healed or was healed by has been attacked. Using one stack of her stun will only briefly interrupt the Hunter, while using three stacks is a considerably longer stun. Any of her stuns can knock a ballooned teammate out of the Hunter's hands.

External Traits
Trait Description
ApeCurse
Ape Curse
Count (Initial/Max): 0/5
Cooldown: 4 second(s)

Consumes 1 or 3 item stacks to cause paralysis for different durations.

The Enchantress carries the Cursed Emblem. She can consume 1 stack of Guard to paralyze the nearest Hunter within 5.1 meters for 1 second.
When the Guard reaches 3 stacks, it can be detonated by tapping on the special icon and using 3 stacks of Guard to paralyze the Hunter for 4 seconds.

GuardTrait
Guard
Continuously recharges item near Hunters. Damage dealt by Hunters will directly increase the number of item stacks.
When a Hunter gets near the Enchantress, the Guard is triggered and the effects are stacked over time against the Hunter. The nearer the Hunter gets to the Cursed Emblem, the faster the Guard effect stacks. All Enchantress' Guards (whether detonated or not) now have a reduced rate of 7%, and a maximum reduction of 70%.
The Enchantress will immediately gain 1 stack of Guard if the Hunter inflicts damage to the Enchantress. The Guard effect on the Hunter has a maximum of 5 stacks.
BlessingEnchant
Blessing
Hunter's damage dealt to Survivors healing the Enchantress or getting healed by the Enchantress will also increase the Enchantress' item stacks.
Survivors healing the Enchantress or getting healed by the Enchantress will gain Enchantress' blessings. When a Hunter inflicts damage on a Survivor that has the Enchantress' blessings, the Enchantress will also gain a stack of Guard effect.

Special
Survivors will lose Enchantress' blessings when they get knocked down. When a Hunter inflicts damage on a Survivor with Enchantress's blessing, the Enchantress will also gain a stack of "Guard."
Karma

Official News[6]

Sorcery has always been shrouded in a mysterious veil in this world. It seems as if it really exists, but very few people really understand it. This time, the new character "Enchantress" in Identity V is one of the few people in the world who can grasp such a scary ability.

Patricia is a shaman with a mysterious background, and her appearance is unique among the survivors of the manor. Her dark skin and religious tattoos are a perfect match for her resolute and good looks, and the monkey statue she always carries with her gives her a very unique and mysterious aesthetic sense. In addition to the powerful power of the curse, her beautiful appearance always appears in the exciting battles that follow.

Official Art Reference Book[7]

EnchantressDesignNotesRBCN

Based on her place of birth and experience learning spells, we designed her as a black woman with some tattoos and some bone decorations. Since she lived in the Americas as an adult, her clothing design was as close as possible to the American women's clothing at that time. The monkey head wood carving in her hand refers to traditional African carvings and also hints at the character's origin.
