—Jose Baden (Deduction Quest No. 3) |
Appearance
Jose is a tall, slender doll with peach skin, shoulder-length dark brown hair combed back, a matching mustache and goatee, rosy cheeks, arched, questioning dark brown eyebrows, and mismatched button eyes, with the left a dark grey button rimmed wit gold and a gold letter "B", and the right teal and cross-stitched with gold thread. His left hand and forearm is replaced with a leather prosthetic with brass fingers. A thin, bloody scar slashes down the left side of his face.
He wears a worn, crimson military coat with a single epaulette on the right shoulder over a white shirt with a low neckline and a high, frilly collar, a thin leather necklace with a round silver pendant, a gold sash, white breeches with gold cuffs, and black leather combat boots. A white sash wraps around his right shoulder to his waist, and a silver earring is visible in his left ear. Tears are visible in his left shoulder, right arm, and right knee, showing cotton stuffing. He dangles an ornate pocket watch with a bronze chain and a bronze anchor on the dark metal lid from his left hand.
Gameplay
The First Officer is a rescue-type Survivor who has a pocket watch that allows him to hypnotize the Hunter, causing them to black out and then see illusionary First Officers. He can also disappear from sight when a teammate is placed on a Rocket Chair. Additionally, the initial countdown when he is chaired is decreased by 20%, but his decoding speed also suffers from the same decrease. If he is hit once when the Hunter is hypnotized, he will become immune to all damage for as long as they are still hypnotized, and all damage taken will take effect afterwards.

Trivia
- He's the 3rd character to have heterochromia next to Kreacher (Thief) and Mike (Acrobat).
- Coincidentally, both of Jose's eyes have similar colors like Kreacher's (left blue, right brown), though his are a brighter shade.
- He and his family belongs to the 4th class of nobility, Viscount.
- He was previously a Rescue/Contain Type Survivor until it was changed to solely Rescue on May 19th 2022.
- He is likely Spanish, as his first name is predominantly used in Spain (though with an accent on the e) and his dish in game, Paella, is described as a favorite dish for "Spanish sailors".
- Jose's deduction rumor incorrectly refers to Oletus Manor as Olive's Manor.
