From the ordinary to the extraordinary, from the banal to the transcendent, the miracles of alchemy are still spreading secretly. A secret meeting is about to begin, which will allow you to witness the miraculous techniques with your own eyes. Then, please enjoy the carnival of fools.
Approaching the extreme and challenging the laws of nature
With the development of science and medicine, the ancient alchemy gradually declined. But there are still a group of people who believe in the miracles of alchemy.
In order to approach the extreme of alchemy, they went to different extremes: Electrolysis alchemy uses inorganic substances as materials and must rely on excess energy; Ouroboros refines substances from the fusion of organic substances and tramples on the taboos of life.
However, just as the competition between the two parties was reaching its climax, a mysterious alchemist appeared. He combines alchemy with painting, using a technique similar to mixing paint, blending organic and inorganic substances in a golden ratio, supplemented by the reshaping of aesthetics, to create incredible miracles. And his power to reconcile and transform material composition comes from a mysterious stone...
When the twisted truth is revealed again, will the secret gathering of alchemists who challenge the laws of nature turn into a carnival of fools again?
Golden blend, artistic reinvention
"With the red stone as the medium and himself as the sacrifice, he blends the organic and inorganic materials in a golden ratio and adds a finishing touch for aesthetics - a miracle was thus born." Touching the "Golden Ratio" of the truth of alchemy, organic and inorganic substances are blended and reshaped with artistic techniques to create a real miracle. But what price does he need to pay for the abilities he exerts with the help of red stone?
Reshape beauty and concoct material miracles
Regarding the art of alchemy, the Golden Ratio has his own unique insights. The fools only know how to seize false wealth from the wasteland and create distorted forms in the body, but no one understands the true meaning of alchemy - the reshaping of the art of precise coordination and matching.

The Painter's S costume Golden Ratio dress is exquisite and luxurious. The coat of arms on the shawl and hat brim show the rhythm of the golden spiral, demonstrating the principle of harmonizing organic and inorganic substances with the golden ratio. The mysterious red stone on the chest is surrounded by golden branches, just like the legendary "Philosopher's Stone". But the golden left hand seems to indicate a more terrifying truth...
People who still believe in alchemy are still stubbornly looking for ways to transcend the laws of nature. In this carnival of fools, who can maintain the last sanity and not be fooled by the false skills in front of him?

Essence - "The Carnival of Fools"
This theme Essence - "The Carnival of Fools" is a story about a mysterious gathering of alchemy.
Except for test tube vessels and alchemical symbols, historical materials are relatively vague about the appearance of the alchemist himself. When applied to costume design, we need to refine and expand it into a more distinctive image.
So, we put the story in the context of the gradual development of science and medicine and the gradual decline of alchemy, and designed it around the connections and conflicts between the three.
Design Idea Plans
Regarding the Painter's perfect skills, there is a well-known Chinese story "Ma Liang, the Magic Brush". Based on this interesting and philosophical story concept, we chose alchemy as the story packaging to interpret a version of Identity V style.
The basis of a Painter's painting is pigment, and as an alchemist, his basis is the alchemical material. The basic concept of costume is established in the connection between the two: the coordination and creation of materials.
As the protagonist of the story, the Golden Ratio has broken away from other alchemists' pursuit of results, and has risen to the realm of artistically displaying skills. In order to express this artistic skill, we chose the mysterious golden ratio of nature as a special harmonious element. The Golden spiral based on the golden ratio is used in clothing decoration. In addition, he uses elegant and chic clothing to highlight his difference from the other two marginalized alchemists.
In terms of costume materials, we used red philosopher's stone and gold elements. In the story, the truth that the Philosopher's Stone can "turn stones into gold" is actually a misinformation: the price of using the Philosopher's Stone indiscriminately is that you will also turn into gold. However, the bright appearance of this cruel fact is coveted by others who do not know the truth, and it has become a satirical joke among fools.
Design Idea Sketch
Based on the Painter's identity as an alchemist who used the golden ratio, we made three concepts using the golden ratio as the theme of the design.

In order to reflect the concept of the body gradually turning into gold, the golden left hand of concept 1 was retained. The wearing of shorts and long socks in concept 3 is closer to the painter's own temperament as a wealthy young man.
Although the current three concepts basically meet the needs, the characteristics are not distinctive enough. Therefore, we designed a new version based on the advantages of the sketches, which highlights the painter’s noble, cold and arrogant temperament, and added the concept of gold growing from the Philosopher's stone on the chest, making the costume features more distinctive and memorable.
Finally, after refining and improving some decorative details, the final concept of the Golden Ratio was completed.
