Hunter Specializations[]

Hunters do not have one official specific role like Survivors do, but each hunter has certain specialties that are separated into categories. The following chart separates them by what kind of gameplay their abilities assist in, such as putting pressure on multiple Survivors/locations on a map to keep them from doing objectives (Map Control), guarding a small location such as a chaired survivor or Cipher Machine (Defensive/"Chair Guarding"), and chasing and downing survivors very quickly (Pursuit).

  • Keep in mind that many players still play certain hunters in unique ways that do not fit in this categorization. For example, although a hunter may specialize in the Pursuit, some play them more defensively.

Please Press "Expand" to see the tables about these Hunters and an overview of their statistics.

  2. Joker's abilities are mainly movement-based, which may make him more Pursuit specialized. However, due to how his weapon is able to get an attack with no recovery, this may be why his stat triangle says he is best at guarding.
