Castle Banquet Mystery was the 2019 annual Halloween Event. It took place during Season 8, beginning on October 24th and ending on November 7th, 2019.

Event Details

Where... is this? You wake up in a mysterious castle with no memory of how you got there... The dim-lit castle, notes in hand, strange paper remnants, and the grand banquet... All these mysteries are waiting to be revealed...

Castle Exploration: Once the event begins, players will be able to obtain Candlelight by participating in battles daily; 3 for Victory, 2 for Draw and 1 for Defeat. The max. limit of Candlelight in the first scene is 30. During the event, new scenes will be gradually released. Each time a new scene is released, the max. limit of players' Candlelight will be increased by 30, and the max. limit will be 90. Lighting up scenes using Candlelight, collecting clues and finding all Characters' notes will grant players event exclusive rewards.

The event was divided into three different phases unlocked on different days of the event, taking place in different areas of the Castle:

1. The first phase began October 24th, and takes place in the Banquet Hall;
2. The second phase began October 29th, and takes place in the Castle Chamber;
3. The third and final phase began November 3rd, and takes place in the Castle Gallery.

Each area of the Castle must be investigated to find 10 clues. Each investigation attempt requires 3Candlelight, for a total requirement of 30Candlelight per area. once all clues were found, a reward would be unlocked for the player to collect.

Adventurer Verification Daily Questions

Mysterious Remnants: During the event, players will obtain rewards by answering questions daily on the paper remnants. Completing all 10 questions will even reward players with an event exclusive Portrait Frame. The remnants will reveal the player's personality and inclination towards the banquet characters, and will also recommend other players who share the same inclination.

Once per day, players could take part in the Adventurer Verification. A question would be posed, with three different possible answers to choose from. Depending on the chosen answers, the player's Adventurer type chart would be changed accordingly. Once the answer was picked, a reward would also be unlocked.

Adventurer Type Personality Quiz

Depending on the answers chosen in the Adventurer Verification, the player's personality will be evaluated as well as their closest matching event character. Each answer provided different values of alignment with all six characters, and the final result was determined by the character with the highest alignment value once the tenth and final question was answered. Below is a list of each possible result and their related personality traits.

Clues Investigation

By using 3Candlelight, the player can investigate one of the Castle areas to uncover a clue related to one of the Banquet participants. There are 5 clues per character, for a total of 30, and each Castle area contains 10.

Once a clue is discovered, one of the related character's personal entries will be unlocked in the investigation record. Once all 5 clues are found and each of the character's entries are unlocked, a special reward will be available for the player in the form of currencies or cosmetic items. Gameplay

Before Castle Banquet Mystery, Halloween Red Church was only available temporarily during the 2018 Halloween Event.

Starting October 24th, 2019, Halloween Red Church was made permanently available in Custom Matches for players to select and play on. The map features a heavily modified version of The Red Church with a night sky, unique Halloween-themed decorations and interactive elements.

Unlike the 2018 Halloween Event however, it was not available in Quick Matches.

Illusion Hall & Event Store

With the beginning of the Castle Banquet Mystery Event a new store type was introduced, the Event Store. Items within can be purchased using the Spy Glasses currency.
