The Halloween Ball Event was an event held in 2020 from October 26th to November 11th.
Masquerade Prelude: Daily Check-in[]
The prelude event lasts from October 26th to October 29th. "Everyone has their own desires; be it passion, wealth, or wisdom. The annual Halloween Event is upon us! Otis' Doll Shop cordially invites you to join the Dealmaker's Halloween Ball. We will make your wish come true, no matter whatever it is. And, all you'll have to do is give up a negligible amount of 'Soul Energy'. Are you ready to party? Log in daily for the duration of the event to claim your check-in rewards at Otis' Doll Shop and know more about the story behind each doll."

When interacting with 'Memory Recall', players will be greeted with a pop-up of this video in their default browser.
Halloween Ball Invitation[]
This event is available from October 26th to October 31st.

Clicking the 'Go!' button will bring users to an online webpage invitation with a QR Code for others to scan when on PC. However, when accessed on mobile (or scanning the QR Code from the PC website), an interactive minigame will pop up.
The player will then be prompted to accept the invitation the "Specter" is holding in his hands. On click, the screen will zoom in on the invitation and allow the player to open the seal. A piece of parchment paper will then pop up. Upon linking an ID and account, 28 clues will be sent to the player. After linking an account, players can choose to share the minigame via a social platform such as Facebook, Twitter or LINE. After 3 friends accept your invitation, you will receive a 1-Day A-Costume Trial Card via in-game mail.

Masquerade: Main Event[]

This event is available from October 29th to November 4th.
"Behind the façade of the Masquerade hides the trading of souls and the fulfillment of desires."
The currency Soul Energy can be obtained via playing quick, rank, and duo hunters matches, and will be used as the main form of exchange in this year's main event. From the main event, a variety of rewards are obtainable; Postman's limited A-Tier costume, "Specter", Priestess' limited B-Tier costume, Guiding Spirit, as well as her matching limited B-Accessory, Apostle. All rewards will cost Soul Energy to claim, "Specter" costing 50, Guiding Spirit worth 25, and Apostle requiring 20 for its purchase. Obtaining Soul Energy can be executed from October 29th to November 4th, and exchanges can be made from October 29th to November 8th.
Required Matches[]
From victories, 6 Soul Energy will be awarded. From draws, 4 Soul Energy will be awarded. From losses, 2 Soul Energy will be rewarded. To claim all event-exclusive customizations (excluding graffiti), a total of 95 Soul Energy is required, meaning a minimum of 16 matches must be played (assuming all are victories), and a maximum of 48 matches must be played, assuming all matches are defeats and defeat protection (certain victory bot matches) are disabled in the player's tier: assuming all matches are defeats other than defeat protected matches, a total of 35 matches must be played. Around 24 matches must be played to purchase everything.
Soul Pact[]
"During the event, you can spend Soul Energy to make a Soul Pact with the Priestess at Otis' Doll Shop. Make a Soul Pact and you may obtain Clues, Inspirations, various types of trial cards, and a chance to obtain 2020 Halloween Exclusive Graffiti. You can make a maximum of 3 Soul Pacts Daily."
Soul Energy can also be used to make Soul Pacts, a gamble for prizes. There are three different 2020 Halloween Exclusive Graffiti types available from Soul Pacts: Rag Doll, Black Cat, and Ghost - all three are non-exclusive graffiti and can be used by both Hunters and Survivors. All prizes have an equal chance of being obtained. To make a pact, cast 1 Soul Energy to Fiona, the Guiding Spirit, and draw a symbol on screen to summon a reward.

This event is available from October 29th to November 11th.
Three new character-exclusive emotes, Postman - Exhausted, Axe Boy - Candy Please, and Acrobat, Exclaim, will be added to the event store and purchasable with spyglasses. As well as the emotes, B-Tier costumes for Axe Boy, Pumpkin Lamp, and Acrobat, Jamboree, will be also obtainable using spyglasses. These additions are permanent.
Illusion Hall[]
This event will last from October 29th to November 4th.
The Ripper's S-Costume, Count's Banquet, and his matching A-Accessory, Banquet Cup, will make a return for this year's Halloween. A 2020 Halloween Event Exclusive Portrait Package will also be released, along with a new A-Tier pet exclusive to and for Smiley Face; Jack-O-Lantern.
XiaoHongShu Contest: "Identity V Masquerade Ball Parade"[]
This event will last from October 23rd to November 15th.
"Posting videos or images/blog posts of any content underneath the hashtag #第五人格假面舞会派对# will count as a valid entry. Whether if it's arts and crafts, funny video clips, cosplay, etc., all is welcome in this Halloween parade!"

It is unknown if this XiaoHongShu event is exclusive to Chinese players, but Global players should be able to register on the site and submit an entry.
