The Haunting Parade is the 2024 annual Halloween Event. It took place during the second half of Season 34, starting with a Warm-Up Event that lasted from October 10th to October 17th, 2024. The main Event began on October 17th and ended on November 3rd, 2024.

The Event's story is a continuation of the 2023 Halloween Event, Midnight Carnival.

Introduction[]

Step into the shadows of the unknown to uncover the secrets that lie within. Suddenly, you find yourself lost in the wilderness, only to mysteriously arrive in a town with deep connections to October City. People stroll through the streets, carrying with them the scent of bygone days. Scattered throughout the town, candies conceal a wondrous game. What will you do when night falls and a knock echoes at your door?

Story[]

Story content unlocks daily over a span of seven days. Complete each day's story to receive 20Gloom Candy, earning a total of 140 Gloom Candy by the end of the event.

Candy Wrapper Divination Warm-Up Event[]

Under the moonlit night, candies are ready to be tasted, and the "gift" of fate quietly awaits the arrival of travelers. Five scattered clues seem to hint at different paths ahead in the unseen...
Event Period: October 10, 2024 - October 17, 2024

For every 2 matches completed, players could choose to unwrap one of the five candies. Candies could be unwrapped in any order, and rewards will be given to the player for each unwrapped candy. In addition, each candy would reveal one random word written on a slip of paper, which would later be used in divination.

Once all five candies have been unwrapped, a divination can be performed with three available options presented to the player: "Ghost Candle", "Amber", and "Lichen". To view the related divination dialogue for each character, please visit the following article: Haunting Parade/Story.

Make Candy[]

Once you've obtained Syrup and Fillings from matches and Sweet Terror, it's time to make some candy!

Go to [Homemade Recipe] and choose your Syrup and Filling (or opt for no filling) to create a specific type of candy. Tapping [Tap-n-Make] will randomly generate candy based on your available Syrup and Fillings.
Making any candy recipe will earn you an equal amount of Gloom Candy.
Collect different types of candy to receive various rewards in the [Illustration Reward], including [Sticker] Cheers, [Portrait Frame] "Sweet Night," [Emote] Photographer - Give Treats, and [Room Music] Haunting Parade.
Gloom Candy can be exchanged for a variety of rewards in the Event Shop.

By collecting Syrups through battles, and Fillings through Sweet Terror matches, the player can combine them to make different types of candy in the dedicated interface. There are 12 different types of candy that can be made. Making new types gradually unlocks rewards for players to collect in the Illustration Reward interface, with all 12 being required to obtain every item.

Although the candies differ in appearance and recipe, each created candy will award the player a single Gloom Candy. Below are the different candy types, their ingredient requirements, and the rewards obtained from their preparation.

	"Assorted Berries" A fruit candy made with a blend of berries, offering a prominent sweet and tart flavor.				+

	Berries and Peanuts Candy Adding peanuts and chopped nuts to an apple candy base creates a multi-layered aroma and texture.				+

	Apple Candy A hard candy with an apple flavor, often bitten into to melt more quickly.

Candy Ingredients[]

During the event, participate daily in Quick Matches, Ranked Matches, and Violent Struggle modes (including Duo Hunters, Blackjack, Tarot, Chasing Shadows, Frenzy Rhapsody, and Hide and Seek), as well as Five-player Matches to earn random Syrups. Syrups come in three varieties: , and . Each match rewards varying amounts of Syrup depending on the match type and victory conditions, with a daily limit of 20 Syrups.
If a Visitor does not meet the minimum completion conditions in a match, they will not receive Syrups:

Quick Match, Ranked Match, Five-Player Mode, and Tarot Mode must be completed with at least 1,500 Deduction Points.
Duo Hunters Mode must be completed with at least 3,000 Deduction Points.
Blackjack Mode must be completed with at least 300 Chips.
Chasing Shadows must be completed with at least 50% completion.
Frenzy Rhapsody must be completed with at least 3 hits.
In Hide and Seek Mode, the match time must be at least 50 seconds for Naughty Children, and the "Monsters" must hit at least once.

While Syrup ingredients can be obtained through matches, Filling ingredients must instead be collected through the Event's Sweet Terror mode. The three types of Filling are randomly positioned across the mode's map, with a total of 10 per match and a maximum of 20 being obtainable per day. To view the mode's details, please see below.

Nocturnal Escape[]

Haunting Parade saw the return of the Nocturnal Escape Mode, exclusively available during the Halloween Event period between October 16th and November 3rd, 2024. Unlike its previous appearance during Midnight Carnival, only the standard Mode was made playable, with the Nocturnal Escape - Fright Night variant being absent. It functioned identically to previous years, with the exception that Bats were removed as an obstacle. Some Event Quests were also included, awarding players with Gloom Candies.

Map & Lobby Changes[]

Starting October 10th, special Halloween-themed aesthetic changes were applied to certain Map elements and the matching lobbies. These elements have previously been used in past Halloween events, and will last for the duration of the current event.

Matching Lobby[]

The matching lobby will now sport Halloween decorations, including carved pumpkins, festive lights and cobwebs. These decorations are situated around the Hunter's chair and on the Survivors' table. Bats can be seen hanging from the ceiling in the Hunter's point of view, and ghostly silhouettes can be seen flying behind the glass windows. On top of the visual changes, the matching room's background music is also replaced by a Halloween variation of it.

Maps[]

Some Map elements, Cipher Machines and Exit Gates, will also be replaced by Halloween-themed variants, identical to those already featured on the Red Church (Night). Cipher Machines will be decorated by a ghost figure hanging from the antenna, two Jack-o'-Lanterns with glowing eyes peeking through holes in the crate, and skeletal hands, one of which rises from the Machine while decoding before slipping back in. The Exit Gates will instead display on their doors' surface the drawing of a large carved pumpkin, small floating ghosts and the word "Halloween."
