Description[]
Carries around a toolkit that is used to destroy Rocket Chairs. Hunters are able to repair destroyed Rocket Chairs. The toolkit has a 12 seconds cooldown after each use.

Gameplay[]
Gardener carries toolkit around that can be used to dismantle Rocket Chairs temporary until the Hunter repairs them. It takes 3 seconds for Gardener to finish and a sound cue can be heard by the Hunter once the chair has been successfully destroyed. The toolkit has a 12 seconds cooldown after each Rocket Chair that has been successfully dismantled. When the Hunter repairs the Rocket Chair, Confidence will take effect and the Rocket Chair's takeoff speed will be reduced by 10% for the rest of the match.

- If the Hunter hits the Gardener with their Knife/Charged attack during her dismantling animation, the Gardener will get Terror Shocked unless she has Protection in effect.
Gardener's Tips:[]
- If you have time to spare, focus on dismantling critical Rocket Chair areas such as open areas, or areas that can benefit the Hunter (excluding the Basement) so that the Hunter will remain unaware of the Rocket Chairs' presence or be forced to drop a Survivor to repair them, which will risk them struggling free.
- In some cases, most notably on larger maps or with survivors who carry Will to Survive, doing this may allow your teammate to struggle free before being chaired. If this didn't work the first time and you are not injured, and you still have your shield or the hunter is distracted, you can try to destroy the chair again after the hunter has fixed it, this will likely result in them struggling free.
- If you have been incapacitated and one of your teammates is a Gardener and they are nearby, it is therefore very important to crawl away as far as possible from the nearest chair(s) after you have been downed or dropped to help along the struggle progress.
- The hunter will get a noise notification when you have dismantled a rocket chair. Only dismantle a chair while you still have the protection bubble, the hunter is distracted or far from you, or you are confident you can escape the hunter.
- This can also be used at the start of a match to try to draw the hunter to you instead of your teammates if you are confident enough in your kiting abilities.
- You can get Terror Shock if the Hunter hits you while you are using your Toolkit. Be sure to use the shield from the Protection trait as it can protect you from any Terror Shock or damage.
- Alternatively, you can try to dodge the hunter's attacks if they are carrying a survivor.
Trivia[]
- The toolkit used to be able to be obtained from chests, so any survivor with a finite tool could break Rocket Chairs. Now the only survivor besides Gardener who is able to obtain and use toolkits is Lucky Guy, through the use of a wish. As such, it is considered a legacy item.
- At release, Rocket Chairs destroyed by the Gardener could only be fixed if the Hunter equipped Abnormal. The Gardener also used to only be able to destroy 11 Rocket Chairs. This has both since been changed.
- Rocket Chairs in the Basement cannot be destroyed.
