Kroto, also known as Clotho, is a Limited S-Tier Costume for the Female Dancer, Margaretha Zelle. It was introduced in Season 12 Essence 1 during the Golden Rose Theater Event on the Global Servers and in Season 17 Essence 2 based on the Golden Rose Theater on the Chinese Server. The costume's essence was obtainable between July 23rd and September 30th, 2020 on the Global Servers.
The costume is also connected to the The Phantom of the Crystal Palace and Season 20 Essence 2 lore.

Physical[]
Margaretha's skin takes on a porcelain tone, and she has pale blonde hair tied up in a high bun with bangs let loose at front. Her eyes are dark amethyst like with a gold rings around them, a bunch of small gold crystals is glued below them. She also wears dark lipstick and a pink rouge.
Outfit[]
Margaretha wears a black corset decorated by sequins sewn onto the bust, underneath that she dons a black leather bodysuit with a transparent detachable train at the back. She also wears black garters and a dark lace stockings with ribbons. A white leather purse hangs from her shoulder on a golden chain. On her neck there is an ornate black necklace with sapphires. Her headdress is made of navy gems and black chain which decorates a silver plume connected with silver pendants. She also wears black short gloves with ruffles and a navy high heels with golden soles.
Music Box[]
Her music box is now black with light marble architectonical decorations. Inside there is a mirror and a silver ballerina spinning. The music box is winded up on a white crank and a golden piece of sheet music.

In the Season 17 Essence 2 poster released by "Identity V", the dancer's S costume Kroto is in the center, as if she has become the protagonist of the stage, showing an elegant posture, and the Prospector's A costume Ronald of Nice and Mad Eyes's A Costume "Scrooge" are in two different roles, and they seem to have their own plans for the upcoming performance. Dancer Kroto has long been the second leading actress of the Golden Rose Theatre. After the previous female lead accidentally fell and died, she once dreamed of taking the center stage. But when the theater’s newly recruited female lead made a gorgeous debut after receiving countless praises, she has a new position and vision for her future and life.
The dancer Kroto wears a black dance skirt, exquisite skirt and stocking patterns, exquisite makeup and hairstyle, luxurious accessories and shoulder bag, all showing her charm and stunning beauty. Design Idea Plans
The Golden Rose Theater is well-known in Europe for it's high-quality performances and beautiful leading actors. However, a sudden bizarre case stained this beautiful stage with blood. The leading actress died suddenly on stage under the eyes of everyone during the performance. Everyone present is suspicious; are they as innocent as they say they are, and what secrets are hidden under the surface of harmony? In the theater 3 years ago, the golden rose bloomed and then fell, and they were reunited. Does it matter?
Design Idea Plans
Each person has been assigned a different role in this case, and the corresponding clues can be noticed from the clothing. As the B corner of the theater, Kroto is a hard working dancer. She used to be the heroine, a pillar, good at imitation, and acted in several plays with good reviews. Compared with her artistic pursuit, she wants to climb higher on the social ladder. On the surface, Kroto lost the chance to play the leading role because of A's arrival, so she resents A very much.
Design Idea Sketch
The three sketches are slightly unrelated in terms of clothing tailoring and decorations, and lack the desolation of the down-and-out protagonist the story requires. The hairstyle and skirts also do not show the ability of hard-working dancers, and the music box is somewhat unrelated to the theme.
Therefore, the final draft focuses on enhancing the overall sense of body, appropriately reducing the patterns of the clothes and redesigning the hairstyle and headgear.
Model Details Description
- Her eyes are made of obsidian and the gold leaf on her face is just a sample of the extravagant life in the theater.
- As a hard-working dancer, she did not choose a complicated and large skirt, and her dress was relatively efficient.
- A small satchel made of silver sequins, which contain some of the actress's belonging. A self-disciplined actress needs to maintain a decent composure at all times.
Showroom Interface Design
Kroto is sitting in a huge glass of red wine, leaning against the edge, tilting her head and staring at the audience. After a while, she jumped out of the glass and stood still in the center of the stage.
Kroto took out the music box from her small bag and stared at the dancer in the music box who was as tireless as she was and never stopped dancing.
The colorful spotlights are on, and Kroto dances under the lights. She seems to belong on the stage naturally, and her gestures are graceful.
Custom Lobby Model Design
Small dots of light in the shape of petals linger around Kroto, shining in the same color as the jewels on her body, and the emerald green light makes her dancing more ethereal.
Trivia[]
- The 3 goddesses of fate and destiny in Greek mythology are Atropos, Clotho, and Lachesis. In the Golden Rose Theater story: Lady Bella represents Atropos, Kroto represents Clotho, and Lachesis represents Lachesis.
- Kroto, both in lore and appearance, is potentially based off the theatre actress Robyn Hurder in her role as Nini from the 2018 musical adaptation of the film Moulin Rouge!. She is a performer alongside Satine, represented by Lady Bella, who is jealous of her success and spitefully reveals her secret, resulting in the anger of Satine’s patron.
- Her name was originally planned to be Clotho, but was instead translated to Kroto.
- Due to censorship, in the Chinese Server, Kroto's showroom animation is less suggestive, and her costume includes a more layered skirt and a subtle pair of shorts under her leotard.
- Her handbag was seen on Fireworks Guy's desk in the Season 20 Essence 2 trailer.
- Kroto's showroom animation is inspired in Dita Von Teese's 'Martini glass' number, a burlesque performance in which she begins her routine while inside a giant martini glass.
