Lady Truth is a Limited A-Tier Costume for the Gardener, Emma Woods. It was introduced to the Illusion Hall with the Accessory Happy Birthday for a limited time during the First Anniversary.

It is connected to the lore of many essences and events related to the Truth & Inference Universe.

Appearance[]

Physical[]

Emma has peach skin, cerulean button eyes rimmed with gold and crosstiched with white thread, thin blonde eyebrows, blonde hair parted into two bangs and pulled into a bun, and freckles.

Outfit[]

Emma wears a brown plaid tweed capelet over a brown plaid trench coat, underneath which is a white collared shirt and cerulean tie. An ornate gold brooch set with blue crystals is secured to her capelet with two thin gold chains. She also wears a tan pleated skirt, brown leggings patterned with crimson and cream diamonds, and leather boots with dark brown shoelaces. A brown deerstalker cap with a cerulean bow and a wooden pipe brooch sits on her head. She also wears leather gloves.

Her Toolkit is a dark leather briefcase with bronze bindings and details and stickers and post stamps on it.

Interaction with Mr. Inference/"White"[]

When near a Mercenary wearing the Mr. Inference costume or a Seer wearing the "White" Costume, a lightbulb appears over her head.

Backstory[1][]

Raised in an orphanage, she was shunned by the other children for routinely dissecting their emotions before their eyes. Only "Doll" who shared a similar experience to her, was willing to become her friend. She became a gardener after leaving the orphanage and met "Inference" as she was investigating the disappearance of "Doll". In order to find "Doll" and catch the culprit behind her disappearance, she joined the Orpheus Detective Agency.

In the nineteenth century, London was on the verge of change, and the social order was in turmoil. This brought great opportunities to the people at the bottom of the social ladder at that time, including "Lady Truth", who was born as a common gardener. Although she is very shy, sensitive, and even has a bit of social phobia, in order to catch the villain "Joker" who hurt his own companions, she put on a large trench coat and picked up a magnifying glass, and ran around the crime scenes on the streets, exploring every detail and clue hidden in the thick fog.

Pursuing justice, a detective's mind solving mysteries
Changed into the "Lady Truth" costume, gardener wears a brown detective suit, of thick material to ensure that she can move in the cold weather in London. Lady Truth wears a deerstalker hat decorated with a blue bow, a small cloak that just covers her shoulders, and a pair of dark brown leather gloves on both hands to prevent her from being scratched when she comes into contact with sharp evidence. Her light blue button-shaped eyes flash with wisdom, and the slightly raised corners of her mouth exude a confident smile.

Trivia[]

  • Lady Truth made a reappearance in the Chinese Server's Third Anniversary event, The Oath of the "Traitors", as the detective the player assumes the role of, disguised as Hebe's Personal Maid to investigate.
  • According to a Q&A session, Monstrous Bird is really Lady Truth in disguise.[3]
