Locker is object that can be found on each map.
Appearance[]
Locker is red, orange in color. They have two doors with a small vent on them.
Overview[]
Survivors can hide in a Locker to evade the Hunters, but the Hunters can interact with the Lockers to search for Survivors. Only one Survivor can hide in the Locker at a time. If a survivor is hidden, the survivor will get a first-person view which is blocked by the Locker's vent. If a Survivor is caught hiding inside the Locker by a Hunter, they will be instantly incapacitated and are carried by the Hunter. If a Survivor tries to open a Locker when another Survivor is inside, the Survivor opening the locker will be surprised and close the door on the shivering Survivor inside. An injured survivor hiding in a locker will cause a blue confetti to surround at the bottom of the locker.
Survivors can be attacked by Hunters while entering and exiting the Locker. The Hunter's Tinnitus can still detect Survivors hiding in the Lockers. Active Traits such as Listen and Peepers cannot expose Survivors inside the Locker, but can detect the Survivor while they are entering and exiting the Locker plays. Crows can still appear above the Locker surrounding the Survivor who has not interact with anything for a long time. When the Hunters catch the Survivor in the Locker, their Hunter's Presence increases by 1000 Presence not matter the Survivors' health status.
When entering a Locker, certain hunter-induced status effects such as Humidity, Wax or Polarity will be immediately cleansed.
Character Traits[]
Survivor Trait[]
- Operator (Mechanic): When the Hunter discovers her doll in a locker, he will instantly incapacitate and tie it to a balloon, but he will drop it down and the doll will disappear, Controller's 50% durability will be taken away.
- Attraction (Prospector): He can use the Attraction between the Magnet and iron items to increase his Movement speed. Whenever Cipher Machines or Lockers are within a certain range, the Prospector's speed will be increased by 50% for 2 seconds, and can only be triggered once every 80 seconds.
Hunter Trait[]
- Surrogate ("Undead"): When he finds Survivors in lockers, he will instantly incapacitate and tie them to a balloon, but he will drop them down and the trait will be active. However, if a survivor stuns Undead while he is tying a caught survivor into a balloon, it will counts as a rescue and the caught survivor won't have to go through Surrogate.
- Darkest Depths (Naiad): When a survivor enters a locker, it resets their humidity progress to 0.
- Sputter/Molten Wax (Wax Artist): When a survivor enter a locker, the wax progress will reset to 0.
- Blessing (Hermit): When a survivor enters a locker, their electrical charge is removed.
Tips[]
- Avoid getting into a locker in most circumstances especially during pursuit. The time taken to open and exit the locker is very slow and has a loud sound cue that can easily alert the Hunter. This will risk you being ballooned by them immediately if they find you or getting hit while exiting to avoid that.
- Hide in the locker if you think that you need to remove the said Hunters' progress (mentioned above) quickly.
- Survivors can hide in a locker before the Photographer takes a picture, and it will be difficult for the Photographer to find their Mirror Image.
- Hunters can easily find survivors in lockers by hearing them breathing or finding confetti on the ground when a survivor is injured.
