The Manor Games refer to the actual canon games that have been held in Oletus Manor before Detective "Orpheus" arrived at it. The matches played by players are potential outcomes, but are not canon games. "Canon" Manor Games of what actually happened to the characters, who they teamed up with, who survived, and who their hunter was are revealed through Character Diaries, which include interactive cutscenes, and Character Letters.
All Manor Games occurred before the "present day" of the game when "Orpheus" returns to the Manor during the Tutorial.
Overview[]
The list of drugs used in the Manor Games.
During Time of Reunion, it was revealed the Manor Games are one big experiment where all participants are drugged and then pitted against each other. Although the mastermind behind the scenes is unknown, it is implied to be "Orpheus", under the alias of Baron DeRoss, who utilizes his vast resources and connections to gain prime test subjects. The mastermind also has a group of helpers and other collaborators to help facilitate his plans and oversee the experiments, such as the Barriere Family being one of the "sponsors" of the manor games. While the exact purpose of the Manor Games are unknown, it largely involves testing the effects of four notable chemicals:
| Label symbol | Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Orpheus' Lyre | Orpheus | "Avoid overdose, coma" |
| Three spiraling tentacles | Siren Song | "Terror awake, psychedelic" |
| A circle with a dot in the center | Dionysus |
"Shell of Memory" |
| Nine spiraling tentacles | Hydra | "Rebuild Memory" |

According to the Memory Pages and Ashes of Memory, a specially-grown fern specimen, called "Delphi", is an key ingredient to the chemicals.[1] According to Melly Plinius, these dark violet ferns are a rare aquatic, symbiote plant and can only be found in a small unique area of Mediterranean Sea. A Mediterranean aristocrat funded their cultivation, likely for their "pain-reliving" effects that can be extracted from their juices, and the ones in Oletus Manor are the same soil-grown specimen. The chemist Sam Bourbon was in charge of the extraction process and is a known associate of Orpheus, and through their connection the manor was able to acquire the ferns.[2]

Delphi also seemed to have a connection to Hastur, as a yellow-robed cult called "The Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign" worshipped the deity used a fern-like symbol to represent him and the cult had cultivated the ferns upon their settlement of Lakeside Village, which is also located near the manor.[3][4][5]
General Format[]
There are two stages for each Manor Game. Before the game can start however, candidates are sent invitations, who are usually chosen specifically by the mastermind or found through his social network. The mastermind of the games would often investigate the candidates prior to sending them an invitation in order to gain knowledge of their background and personalities for the experiments. Most candidates are lured in by the promise of money, aid, or are invited under false pretenses. At most, the recipients are simply told to participate in the manor's "games" in order to receive their reward, without much information on what to really expect and are oblivious of the danger that awaits them.
These invitations often include content, such as a piece of desirable information or a meaningful object to lure the character to the Manor. As part of the experiments, each Manor Game caters to a specific group of people, often united by certain traits or backgrounds of interest to the testers.
First Stage[]
The first stage of each game starts when up to five players arrive at the Manor, usually enticed by the promise of a wish/desire being fulfilled if they win a Game. Upon arrival these players are assigned a room in the Manor, and are given a set of rules:
- They cannot leave the Manor grounds. In some cases, they cannot leave the Manor itself, at least until they receive approval from the Manor owner.
- Obey the mandate curfew and do not wander around at night.
- They must keep and write in a diary during their stay.
- Those who violate the rules will be "knocked out".
- There may be an additional set of rules exclusive to specific Groups[6] or due to a different type of Game that participants tasked to play.[7]
If any of the members are missing, with enough time to find a replacement (at least 1 week) before the Game starts, then a new member will be invited.[8] But if a member goes missing on the day of the Final Stage and no replacement can be fetched, the Game must go on.[9]
The main point of this Stage seems to be to allow the team members to get to know each other, but it seems the Manor owner frequently pairs people who are not compatible or who have past gripes with each other. Frequently, the players already become hostile towards each other during this Stage. Additionally, the players may not be aware if a fifth or sixth member exists, as they are not required to interact with each other. The Manor owner and their staff would typically observe from afar, but occasionally the mastermind subtly manipulates the players by planting or falsifying items to escalate tension within the group, or by placing some co-conspirators directly in a Manor game to better control the players.
While the players stay at the manor, most of the doors are locked, including the entrance, to prevent anyone from leaving or entering certain areas. While their basic needs are accommodated by the manor owner, they are often left to fend for themselves and rarely see anyone outside their group around the manor, though certain games may include servants to keep up a façade. When instructions needs to be conveyed, manor's staff prepares notes to be found by the players or having the servants acts as their proxy.
In most games, the players will receive a card with picture and a word, though not all notes will be given at the same time or the same way. These cards signify the game is about begin or that the condition to start will appear soon. Once the time is right, another note will tell the time and place where the players must go for the game.
Final Stage[]
By this point, all players have been affected by experimental chemicals that heighten fear and paranoia, induce hallucinations, and cause memory loss.
All players are gathered to a specific, enclosed location that is often crafted to resemble a place that is meaningful/traumatic to a majority of the players. Each player is left in their own separate spot within the location, with the only escape being through one of two exit gates that can only be opened when a code has been obtained from the scattered Cipher Machines on the map.[10] If the game distribute cards to the players earlier, the notes will aid them in figuring out the Cipher Machines.
During this stage anything goes, and though they can help each other, they will not be punished for sabotaging their teammates either. The only goal is to escape. Any player can become the Hunter, where they will then chase and eliminate the other players. Due to the chemicals affecting them all, unless they have a resilience to the drugs, they will perceive the other players as monstrous, terrifying, and out to kill them (and those they care about). This causes them to turn against each other - if they haven't already - and results in the death of most, if not all, of the players.
If the surviving players can still be used, they will be further drugged/sedated (which can cause memory loss, or personality splits) and they will be imprisoned in the manor to be put in a new match and/or be further experimented on. If all players from the group have died, then a new group will be brought in.
Known Teams[]
A full group for a Manor Game consists of four to five people. There may be a "designated" player most likely to take on the Hunter role, or the one who ends up being the main "Hunter" of the game may simply occur naturally. Information in the "Results" columns are gathered from various in-game evidence. As a player can be both a Hunter and a Survivor at the same time, the "Results" columns are separated by Survival and Hunting.
Click "Expand" to see all tables for each known Manor Game team. These tables are also found on each character's Lore sub-page.
Other Notes:
- Each group will have the same number for the first digit of their Experiment Serial Number if they are in the same game (unless they were originally in a previous iteration). The tables are organized in chronological order.
- If there is no final conclusion, a general description of what is known will be written. Once a final confirmation is concluded, it will be noted if the character was "Eliminated" (or if they Eliminated a teammate) or "Escaped".
- If text has ** next to it, this marks the information as an assumption and is not fully confirmed.
- If a space is empty, the relevant info is either unknown, or does not apply to that character.

Experiment File Serial Numbers[]
During each Manor Game, all participants has a file created about them that records their individual actions, written by the mastermind of the experiment. The files also listed effects of the drugs (if any) are used on them, which vary depending on the purpose of the experiment or the type of drug administered. A character's experiment file (and their assigned serial number) is released on their 3rd annual Character Day/Birthday event.[13]
Each serial number is a combination of 3 digits separated by dashes.
- The first number seems to denote which Manor Game is being referred to, as all characters who share the same first number are in the same canon Manor Game.
- It's currently unknown what the second number represents specifically, but it seems to have to do with how the subject reacts to drugs administered during the Manor Games. 0 seems to to refer to no discernible reaction to the drugs while 1 seems to be used when the recipient has notable reaction. A ? seems to be used for when the effects of the drugs cannot be recorded.
- The third number can be anything between 1-6, and seem to have some meaning on the character's placement as a member of a team of five. Most likely it seems to refer to when each arrives at the Manor.[14][15]
The following is a list of all known Serial Numbers and the character they are assigned to:

- ↑ Note that these numbers usually only go up to 5, but if a replacement needs to be found for one of the five participants, they are considered #6
- ↑ In addition, there has been one participant with their third number being 0 (0-1-0). As there are no other cases, it is likely that they were the only one to get this treatment. It is currently unknown what this means but has been theorized to mean that unlike the other participants, 0-1-0 was not invited to the Manor but rather was residing within the Manor before the experiments began.
- ↑ It should be noted that Hell Ember's serial number is different from those of other subjects in most of the Manor Games, possibly because his was given by B.A. instead of the usual writer of the experiments. Manor Game Table References[]
- ↑ Much of what is known about this game is obtained from The Mind's Eye's 2022 Letter and Sculptor's 2022 Letter. This includes details for a list of known participant serial numbers, and it having participants that "should have been the perfect control group" (though this apparently spiraled out of control).
- ↑ The official summary of Sculptor's 2022 Letter mentions an asylum to be this Manor Game's location, likely referring to the White Sand Street Asylum. This is also likely because all participants in the group are connected to the aforementioned asylum.
- ↑ 0-1-0 is directly referred to by Ada as "Mr. Novelist" which could be referring to Orpheus. However, Orpheus's picture does not appear in the Relations Web for this Group and Ada is stated to have "misidentified" Subject 0-1-0 in her 2024 Letter. Therefore, it is theorized that Subject 0-1-0 could be Roy Kafe or another unknown person either disguising himself as Orpheus or being mistaken for him.
- ↑ In The Mind's Eye's 2023 letter Helena mentions Galatea having found Ada's (unattended) whistle. Although it is unknown what this means, this could mean that Ada was eliminated in her game.
- ↑ In "Psychologist's" 2024 Letter, it is stated that Ada "paid the ultimate price," likely referring to her life. However, this could also be referring to Emil’s elimination.
- ↑ Emil's serial number was previously listed as 0-0-2 in the Time of Reunion Trailer, but it was changed to 0-1-2 in his 2024 Letter.
- ↑ See Sculptor's 2022 Letter.
- ↑ Note: it is unknown if this is the real "Orpheus" or someone going by his identity. It is slightly implied that 0-1-0 was the one to kill Emil in Emil's 2024 Letter. See the notes on Subject 0-1-0 for more details.
- ↑ In the Closet Diary, Emil is likely the boyfriend in the young couple who died.
- ↑ In her 2022 Letter, Helena, mentioned as Subject 0-0-3, is noted as being the "only Punisher in the game" which possibly means she ended up being the only "Hunter" in this Manor Game, though the Sculptor is known to have participated in the same Group. Therefore, the other participants have been noted as not likely to have Hunter identities.
- ↑ 11.0 11.1 The Mind's Eye's 2021 & 2023 Letters imply that both Helena and Galatea finished their Manor Game and survived. However, it is currently unknown if either of them die after the experiment as they are usually kept in the manor until receiving a second invitation.
- ↑ Sculptor's 2022 Letter and The Mind's Eye's 2023 Letter heavily imply that Galatea was a survivor in this Manor Game.
- ↑ InThe Ripper's 2021 and 2023 Letters, it’s implied that this manor game happened in June, although it is currently unknown which year it happened.
- ↑ 14.0 14.1 In The Ripper's 2023 Letter, Keigan is mentioned to have been attacked, suspected to be by The Ripper. Based on information from The Ripper's 2022 Letter, it is likely she is 2-1-1, who was targeted by the Ripper.
- ↑ 15.0 15.1 15.2 The Ripper's 2022 and 2023 Letters mention the murder caused by The Ripper due to her likeliness to his previous victims, as well as Edmund Reed's promise to bring justice to death of Keigan as a police officer. It may brings to the conclusion that this Manor Game had no designated hunter or executioner and every participant was capable of posing threats to the rest due to the drugs' effects.
- ↑ 16.0 16.1 The Ripper's 2022 Letter indicates that Keigan was the target of The Ripper while The Ripper's 2023 Letter mentions a tragedy happened to her. The Ripper's Character Relations web confirms Keigan's murder by The Ripper.
- ↑ See The Ripper's 2022 Letter.
- ↑ The Ripper's 2022 Letter mentions subject 2-0-3 was interested in the idea of a "perfect crime", which Philippe wrote about looking for in Wax Artist's 2024 Letter.
- ↑ See The Ripper's 2023 Letter.
- ↑ 20.0 20.1 This Manor Game was cancelled due to the fact that all participants died before the Game started. This is confirmed by the Manor's later beginning of a second and third Group 3. See Violinist's 2023 Letter for further details.

- ↑ 24.0 24.1 24.2 This Manor Game was cancelled due to all Test Subjects failing to reach the Final Stage before their disqualifications and eliminations, as revealed in Violinist's 2023 Letter. The Manor later began experimenting on the third Group 3.
- ↑ 25.0 25.1 25.2 See Grave Keeper's 2024 Letter.
- ↑ 26.0 26.1 26.2 26.3 It is revealed in Grave Keeper's Character Relations Web that Andrew buried Antonio, The Will Brothers and Sangria. However, it is worth noting that Andrew is one of the Manor's "staff", more specifically, a uniquely tasked participant, as revealed in Violinist's 2023 Letter and Grave Keeper's 2025 Letter, and he also carried Antonio away for burial when Antonio lost control during the First Stage of the experiment. Moreover, it is confirmed that the deaths of the buried participants were actually caused by the Manor using drugged consumables in order to make the participants lose their composure, and the burials were a part of Andrew's given objectives.
- ↑ 27.0 27.1 Even though it is not confirmed yet, it seems like Andrew's elimination was caused by Marcus Thorne.
- ↑ 28.0 28.1 See The Breaking Wheel's 2023 Letter, which mentions the interaction between the Will Brothers and Andrew in the Manor, as well as the intriguing and exciting feeling of one of the three siblings as he couldn't wait to meet other participants who would arrive the day later. Additionally, Andrew was the first one to arrive in his Group. From the aforementioned details, we can firmly deduce the serial number of the siblings, as well as that of Sangria due to the final participant has been confirmed in The Breaking Wheel's 2024 Letter to be a male individual.
- ↑ The Will Brothers are confirmed to have participated in the same Group 3 with Andrew Kreiss. See The Breaking Wheel's 2023 Letter for further details.
- ↑ 30.0 30.1 30.2 30.3 Similarly to the first Group 3's Manor Game, this Group had no designated hunter nor executioner, thus essentially making every participant capable of having hallucinations of viewing others' appearances as threatening individuals.

- ↑ Referenced in The Breaking Wheel's 2025 Letter as "the fellow with a billiard cue".
- ↑ The Diary segments for Emma Woods and Emily Dyer shows them accessing and exploring the Arms Factory. It is however implied that this version is actually a copy of the original Minerva Arms Factory. Freddy Riley mentions during Doctor's Diary segment that he believes Arms Factory to be a replica of the original Minerva Armory.
Alice DeRoss also mentions in Hell Ember's 6th Character Day Letter, Leo Beck: Investigation FieldNotes[sic] I, that: "When I arrived at the "Minerva Factory," once a beacon of hope but now defunct, I found it had long since been replaced by new shops."
This implies the original Minerva Arms Factory had long since been demolished and replaced with new buildings. - ↑ The Diary segments for Emma Woods and Emily Dyer show them access Arms Factory, beginning their Manor Game, on July 13th.
- ↑ As Emma Woods' age is listed as 22 years old in her Relations Menu, this can be assumed to be the age at which her Manor game took place. We can determine her birth date to be December 21st, 1876 due to the conclusion of Lawyer's 6th Deduction Quest, Troublemaker, mentioning: "A letter: Leo Beck and Martha Beck invite Freddy to attend Lisa's first birthday party on December 21st, 1877."
This implies that Lisa was born a year earlier, on the same date in 1876. This would place a 22 years old Emma involved in the Manor game that took place in July in the year 1899. - ↑ It should be noted that Hell Ember's serial number is different from those of other subjects in most of the Manor Games, possibly because it was assigned by B.A. and the other experiment staff at Sacred Heart Hospital rather than the usual authors of the other experiment files. It is further implied B.A. assigned Leo his serial number in Hell Ember's 3rd Character Day Letter, A case review file left behind in the Sacred Heart Hospital, where B.A: mentions: "Perhaps I shouldn't have named an experimental subject. After December 21, "Cinder" will simply be Subject No. 1-12-22-13."
- ↑ 40.0 40.1 Emily Dyer is shown being attacked by Hell Ember in her Diary segments, leading to her elimination.
Lawyer's 2023 Birthday Event questions mention that: "Question 5: "Whose elimination was closely linked to Freddy Riley?" ", with the correct answer being the option: "Emily Dyer" - ↑ 41.0 41.1 41.2 41.3 Emma Woods appears to be the only survivor of the "Thistle Thorn" Manor game. She mentions in Gardener's 4th Birthday Letter, A Letter Attached with Dried Thistle and Without Recipient Information, that: "My new friends in this group warned me in secret to keep a record of everything, just in case my memories would start to deceive me."
This shows that Emma survived the experiment and fled Arms Factory, leading to her immediate inclusion into another test group which didn't include her past teammates.
Later in the same letter, she also mentions that: "Yes, I've won the previous round, for now [...]" - ↑ It's implied that Hell Ember spared Emma's life once he recognized her, despite the heavy behavioral drugs he was subjected to, and allowed her to escape the Arms Factory. Emma Woods mentions in Gardener's 4th Birthday Letter, A Letter Attached with Dried Thistle and Without Recipient Information, in regards to her interaction with Hell Ember: "Lisa, Lisa... I don't know why, but writing this name makes my eyes sting.
Maybe that weirdo knows me, but I'm unable to place him in any of my puzzle pieces."
An un unknown author mentions in Hell Ember's 4th Character Day Letter, Message Hidden Inside the Wooden Box Transported in Secret to Sacred Heart Hospital, that: "Subject 1-12-22-13's self-awareness broke free of the memory blockade at the end of the experiment, and Subject 1-12-22-13 regained some emotion as a result of Subject 4-1-1's provocation."
Alice DeRoss mentions in Hell Ember's 6th Character Day Letter, Leo Beck: Investigation FieldNotes[sic] I, in regards to the experimentation staff: "The reports highlight a particularly striking incident: all drug control measures failed to affect him." - ↑ 43.0 43.1 Kreacher Pierson is shown being burnt alive while inside of Mr. Skelkro by Emma Woods in her Diary segments, leading to his elimination.
An unknown author mentions in Thief's 3rd Birthday Letter, A Page from Kreacher Pierson's Experiment File, that: "4-0-2 was the first subject to be eliminated from the game. He was immobilized by Subject 4-1-1's trap in the manor."
An unknown author mentions in Gardener's 3rd Birthday Letter, A Page from Emma Woods' Experiment File, in regards to Kreacher Pierson that: "In contrast, during this process, Subject 4-1-1 persisted in her revenge plan against Subject 4-0-2. In the game, Subject 4-1-1 burned the scarecrow to symbolize her revenge." - ↑ An unknown author mentions in Lawyer's 3rd Birthday Letter, A Page from Freddy Riley's Experiment File, in regards to Freddy Riley that: "[...] but this behavioral characteristic was limited to his exchanges with No. 4-0-4, making him less careful against the deadlier threat."
The wording implies that his careful attitude lessened once Emily Dyer had been eliminated, causing him to fall victim to Hell Ember. - ↑ Wu Chang's 2022 Letter confirms the location as Lakeside Village.
- ↑ First Officer's 2022 Letter implies that an Executioner was present in this Manor Game, monitoring Jose’s mental state specifically. However, this direct confirmation remains unclear.

- ↑ 49.0 49.1 49.2 In First Officer's 2023 Letter seemingly implies that Edgar, Vera, and Jose finished their Manor Game. But as Edgar is implied to be dead from his 2024 Letter those were likely Jose's delusions.
- ↑ 50.0 50.1 In Wu Chang's 2022 Letter, it appears First Officer was affected by the umbrella in some way, however it is currently unknown what happened as a result.
- ↑ It should be noted Wu Chang's serial number is referring to their umbrella.
- ↑ Based on the current information given by Wu Chang's 2022 Letter, it is known that the Manor used the power of Wu Chang's umbrella to affect on First Officer in some way, rather than using the duo as a hunter in the Game.
- ↑ Enchantress's 2023 Birthday Questions state that Cowboy was the only one spared by Enchantress but it is unknown what she spared him from but it is possible that Kevin was spared from the death of poison he had drank to protect her.
- ↑ Cowboy's 2022 and 2023 Letters heavily imply that Kevin had already escaped the Manor before the Manor Game began.

- ↑ This person (and their death) is mentioned in Priestess's 2022 Letter. It is possible they died some time before the main event of the Manor Game could start, and so had to be replaced by 6-1-6, similar to how the Servais Le Roy replaced the missing Murro Morton.
- ↑ 58.0 58.1 According to Priestess's 2022 Letter, Fiona was "sacrificed" by Arthur Byers at the Manor.
- ↑ It is implied that Arthur Byers is the Survivor Identity Switch for The Feaster, but this is currently unconfirmed.

Luchino's serial number in his first game was 6-1-4, which is confirmed to be the Coordinator's number in this game. As of now, we don't currently know Luchino's new serial number. It is possible 6-1-2 belongs to another participant who's identity is currently not yet known.
- ↑ Barmaid's 2023 Letter states that her Game has 4 participants, confirming that she was in the second Game 6.

- ↑ It should be noted that Joker's survivor identity does not appear in the tutorial, only his hunter identity does. Even so, Weeping Clown is his survivor identity and so was included here.
- ↑ It should be noted that at the time the Tutorial was released, the Magician was only in Beta Testing and had not been officially released to the game, and may have been in a similar state to other Beta characters that it was unclear if they would be released or not. Although he remains in the Tutorial cutscenes, canonically he was in a different game with Explorer, Forward, and Mercenary, and though participants can be in more than one game, it would not be surprising if the Tutorial Manor Game is not part of canon, or has other changes made to it in the future.
