Mark of Prey is a Limited S-Tier Costume for the "Faro Lady", Evelyn Mora. It was introduced in Season 32 Essence 2 and gave "Faro Lady" for free with the costume.
The costume's essence was obtainable between June 13th and July 25th, 2024.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Evelyn's physical appearance remains largely the same, however her hair appears to be more curled. She also has multiple face piercings, three above her right eyebrow and one on her lower lip, and her button eyes have been changed to resemble silver brooches encrusted with several diamonds and a flower motif. Gold shimmer eyeshadow is present on the inner corners of both eyes, with her right eye also having a makeup design resembling blue and gold petals underneath. There is also a small blue and gold flower placed on her left cheek.
Outfit[]
Her outfit consists of a multi-layered dress with an emerald-green, thigh-length shimmer dress that has a very high cutout to her upper thigh on her left leg, with its peak marked by a large yellow flower. Several layers of transparent shimmer material are layered over this dress with flower motifs. This material extends to the sleeves off the dress, which extend to her elbow in ruffles, just above lace elbow length lace gloves that don her hands. On her left middle finger, a large ring shaped like a goat skull with gold horns is placed. Across her shoulders lies a large, light blue feather boa with some gold and purple accents. A large goat brooch lies on the boa at the front. Several white pearl necklaces of varying sizes lie on her neck. Atop her head lies a large, black lace hat. Large green feathers are laid upon it with a blue, velvet flower placed at front, a bow of similar material lines the circumference of the hat. Her shoes have become silver pumps with silver bows donning the outer edges.
Aromatherapy Cane[]
The cane becomes a bit longer and appears as a scepter. It is now wrapped in a silver sheen around the base, while the base itself seems to be gold. The grip itself is now made of blue-green jade, and is connected to the base with a gold fixture. The top of the cane holds its shape, although it not longer appears hollow in the middle, instead being filled with silver that is embezzled with sapphires. The top itself is also made out of jade, but is wrapped in gold in a cage-like pattern. The middle of this pattern is slightly stretched outwardly with a golden circle, upon which a detailed golden statuette of a pyrenean goat stands. The aromatherapy flask is rounder, containing a faded purple haze and supported my golden adornments and chains.
Special Effects[]
Green feathers fall from her hat and white, green and gold sparkles sporadically appear and quickly disappear, trailing her as she moves. The green portion of the dress has a moving glitter effect. The goat ring has a similar sparkle effect, but it remains in the same place. Small yellow petals fall nearby the flower located on her dress.

The emerald green skirt is wrapped in cyan tulle, and the yellow flowers on the side of the tulle are fresh and elegant. A goat head ring is worn on the white gauze gloves that symbolize purity and beauty. When innocence and evil coexist, who will become the master of her soul?

Design Idea Plans[3]
This essence is inspired by the fairy tale written by Ms. Tanya Ash: the characters within the tale are animals with metaphorical meanings in Western culture. Even though all of the characters are dressed in the Belle Époque style clothing and indulge in lavish feasts, they cannot change their current happenstance-- trapped in the old hotel with a never-ending rain that smells of mold and something fishy-- nor their fate of having been or soon to be a sacrifice.
Design Idea Sketches[3]
Her clothing's style is inspired from that of Edward VII's time period, which featured formal dresses and feather capes that emphasized the elegance of and curves of the female form. Lace, cords, appliqués, beads, and ruffles create ethereal layers of tulle and feathers. A peacock feather hat as well as other feathered elements are included in her clothing, consistent with the era's clothing style.
The first drafts lacked references to animal characteristics in the clothing. We strengthened the hat's silhouette, and increased the number of animal characteristic references on the clothing's pattern and accessories on the hem of the dress.
In the second iteration, we changed her aromatherapy cane to combine elements of a powder box and a goat.

Showroom Interface Design
The blue feathers fell, and she walked out slowly. At the beginning of her memory, she met that passionate man, but she never expected that the gaze of the abyss would follow her like a shadow, and the whisper of the devil would sound in her ears...
She woke up from her peaceful state, got up and knocked on the door, trying to find an exit, but the two locked doors in front of her refused her request. With a moment's distraction, the rotating door turned into a cage, and she was startled and struggled, but could not escape.
In-Game Display
Sparrow feathers fluttered down from beside her, and the green gauze seemed to sparkle with tiny starlight.
Trivia[]
- The costume's icon initially lacked the cane in the artwork, it was later fixed on June 20th, 2024.
- Curiously enough, this trait is also present on the Chinese Concept Art, where the cane isn't in Evelyn's hands.
- The B-tier equivalent of Mark of Prey is "Reborn" Lamb.
