Med Master is an External Trait that belongs to the Doctor, Emily Dyer. As an external trait, it is a passive ability that the character starts the game with.

Description[]
Carries around a Syringe and can heal herself when wounded. Cannot use the Syringe while in the Tide Turner status.
Exclusive
The Doctor can heal fatal wounds quickly. Whenever the Syringe is used to heal herself, her Fear is reduced by 25%, the time required for Self-healing is reduced by half, and Self-healing Progress will not be removed when taking damage.
Due to her medical training, Healing Kits are not depleted when used, and other effects cannot decrease her Self-healing Speed.
The Doctor also carries 2 Medical Boosters, each of which instantly increases Self-healing Progress by 35%.

Gameplay[]
The Doctor will start each game with a Syringe, and will not deplete its durability when she uses it. She can use her Syringe to heal herself and recover 25% of her total health. Due to her medical background, the time taken for self-healing is reduced by 50% and can ignore negative effects that can increase the healing duration such as Impact, Panic, Deterioration etc.

- The Doctor cannot heal herself during the Tide Turner effect.
Doctor Tips:[]
- While not being chased by the Hunter, use the time to heal yourself once you are sure that you are safe.
- Beware of Hunter's mindgames during the chase while self-healing.
Other Survivor Tips:[]
- It is not necessary to heal Doctor as she has the ability to heal herself. Healing her would be a waste of time and inefficient to the team.
- The only exception is Enchantress as with her Blessing, she can farm stacks of Guard if the Doctor manages to heal herself and tank damage as much as she can due to her self-healing.
- Another exception is Puppeteer due to his Useless Flesh trait, as it prevents him from being healed by other survivors. However, he can recover health by successfully healing another Survivor.
Hunter Tips:[]
- Equipping Persona Talents such as Impact against Doctor is useless as her self-healing can ignore any healing debuffs.

- Buff: When the Doctor uses the Syringe to heal herself, her Fear is now reduced by 25% instead of 50%, and the time required for self-healing is reduced by half.

- Buff: No longer slowed by other effects while using a Syringe to self-heal, even when knocked down.
- February 17th, 2022
- Buff: When the Doctor takes damage less than that dealt by a normal attack, movement speed is increased by 45% for 2 seconds.
- May 16th, 2024
- Buff: Self-healing progress is no longer lost when receiving damage.
- Adjustment: The 45% movement speed boost was placed into a new trait, Sensitivity.
- November 20th, 2025
- Buff: Added an alternate item, Medical Booster, that can instantly increase Self-healing Progress by 35% per use, with two uses.

- This is one of a group of external traits that starts the character with an item.
- Syringes are not exclusive to the Doctor, and can be found in any Chest, but will deplete durability if used by anyone else.
