May the nightingale's singing follow you into your dream so you can find yourself again. - The Traveler in your dream, Miss Nightingale.

Miss Nightingale (also known as Lady Nightingale) is a Non-Playable Character who asks players for their opinions on the game and occasionally hosts events. She is also the shopkeeper of the Illusion Hall and 1800 Origins, and signs off on Patch Notes.

Appearance[]

Miss Nightingale appears as a hybrid between a human and a bird. She is a statuesque, humanoid woman with chalk-white skin and black feathers sprouting from the top of her head in a fan spread. The upper half of her face is covered by a golden mask with a long beak, and her closed eyes reveal pure black eyelids. She wears a black ballgown with a low sweetheart neckline and gold sleeves, the fabric shorn off just below her waist, revealing a black crinoline and golden, scaly legs like a bird's. A golden catch fastens a long feathery cape over her shoulders, with the top feathers being a pure white and the feathers sweeping her feet a dull gold.

Trivia[]

  • Starting from the patch notes of November 16, 2017, Miss Nightingale became the main NPC in charge of customer support. Her initial appearance was signed with "The super good-looking Miss Nightingale", instead of "The Traveler in your dream, Miss Nightingale."[1]
  • There is a matching pet based on her.
    • The description of said pet suggests that it might be the same entity as the shopkeeper.
  • She is depicted on a painting, which can be placed in a Custom Lobby.
  • She is theorised to be Alice Deross, with shared imaginary of cages, Nightingales, and Orpheus also being depicted as a bird ("Nightmare")
