Mnemosyne's Dream is a SS-Tier Costume for Perfumer, Vera Nair. It was released on January 27th 2022 as part of the Penrose Maze Rewards. On January 12th, 2023, it was moved to the Penrose Maze Event Store.
As with all SS-Tier Costumes, Mnemosyne's Dream has two different physical appearances or "forms" which can be switched between. For this costume, her first form will be used by default while her second form can be triggered upon receiving any amount of damage. Being healed, including reverting the damage using Euphoria, will reverse this form change back to default.

Vera has long grayish white hair with a small braid on the right, all put up into a spiral with a silver vine shaped hairpiece on the back of her head. Her skin is pale, with purple eyeshadow and pearls around her eyes, which are now stylized golden roses. Her face looks a bit different than usual, with her jawline being sharper, her eyes bigger and her pink lips in a different shape.

Her appearance is the same as her full health form except her hair is now down, reaching to her chest over her left shoulder.

Vera is wearing a white dress reaching just above her knees decorated with vine and petal details on the hem and neckline. The neckline is deep and reaches to her waist, but her chest is covered with beautiful gold turtleneck-like piece, also looking like petals. The dress also doesn't have a back, exposing the silver vines on her back. Her shoes are white heels with a blue flower on the strap on the ankle and the underside of the heels is gold. On the left side of her head there is a big translucent blueish purple flower.
In addition to all that, she is also wearing fabric of the same material as the flower over her dress, which goes all the way down to her feet, is layered and flowing around her arms and has tight long sleeves ending in gold. Two loops of the fabric hang on her back and another two tails flow from her waist, moving as she moves and causing FPS drops. There are also small butterflies of the same color on the top of her head and chest.
Injured Form[]
Her outfit is the same except without everything made of the fabric described in the second paragraph. It appears and disappears with special effects whenever her health state changes.

Her perfume bottle is a shiny blue sphere surrounded by thick silver vine-like shapes, with the bottom of the bottle resembling the bottom of her special chair. The pump is replaced with silver butterfly wings and there is a translucent blue butterfly on the nozzle.
Matching Room Chair[]
The chair is changed to a completely different shape, seemingly made of white and blueish purple petals rimmed with gold. The back of the chair is heavily curved and goes over her head. The "core" beneath the petal-like shapes is glowing orange, and the seat itself is made out of pink cushions.

Perfumer - Mnemosyne's Dream is in good health, wearing a white slim knee-length skirt. False illusions, colorful dance
In the character showroom interface, Perfumer - Mnemosyne's Dream slowly walked towards the throne. In front of her dazzling brilliance, the world seemed dim, and the light and shadow fragments were flying, recording those painful and unforgettable memories for her, and gathered into a dreamy gauze skirt. She stood opposite each other in two different forms, and the glowing butterflies flew around, tearing apart the illusion in front of her. Design Idea Plans
Detectives who have cleared the new story line should have noticed that the third of the four bottles of potions in the manor is called Mnemosyne, which is used to erase memories. The starting point of the design of the Perfumer - Mnemosyne's Dream also comes from this, which is part of the reason why the Perfumer came to the manor.
If the Perfumer wins the game, what will she become? Can she forget the sisters' rivalry, and all the jealousy and unwillingness before? Can all those painful memories be turned into illusory phantoms of yesterday?
Can everything become a rumored story that is circulated in the market?
She will become the world-renowned perfumer both sisters once aspired to be.

Design Idea Sketches
First of all, the biggest highlight of this fantasy masterpiece quality costume is the use of a double-form design. The headgear, clothing, hand-held objects, and normal special effects in the costume all have two forms: full health and injured. The player switches between the two forms during the game.
In terms of design, the butterfly is the main element of this costume, and the concept of breaking out of a cocoon into a butterfly is used to correspond to the visual changes before and after the transformation, echoing the double form fashion composition.
The theme of this costume is Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory in Greek mythology. Therefore, the design direction first adopted the combination of ancient Greek classic elements and fashion. At the same time, in order to reflect the sense of magnificence, a variety of material combinations are used for the clothing.
The biggest problem with the three schemes in the first draft is that the overall design is too modern. While pursuing a fashion sense, the exaggerated outline makes the costume itself flimsy and lacking a sense of luxury. In addition, the butterfly element is also slightly abrupt, and the integration with the whole is not ideal.
The second edition of the sketches retains the Greek-style fashion elements, while adding accessories as embellishments. In addition, the color matching has also be adjusted, using brighter tones, the purpose is to increase the sacred and noble temperament.
However, due to the adjustment of the silhouette profile, the overall shape has become more conservative. In addition, the Greek style with a sense of classical sanctity does not match the role temperament of the Perfumer, so further adjustments are needed.
After a round of direction adjustments, the third version of the plan decided to abandon the use of Greek elements.
Compared with the previous editions, this version of the design has added a sense of magic. In order to widen the level gap, the overall design deliberately weakens the traces of artificial production, and uses more elements such as nature and magic. At the same time, it enriches the color changes and material splicing, making he whole costume natural and more story-telling.
In the end, after further refinement and embellishment with special effects, the design of this fantasy masterpiece quality costume was completed.
Model Details Description
- The purple petals on top of the head, attracting butterflies. Butterflies break out of their cocoon and surround the Perfumer. The dense aroma is their driving force and final destination.
- The noble purple tone, the noble texture as thing as cicada's wings, with the embellishment of petals and slightly magical dots of light, all set off the holiness and dignity of the Perfumer.
- The younger sister took off her purple tulle coat, exposing more skin, showing her fragility after being injured. But under this pitiful appearance, her tenacity is still there.
Showroom Interface Design
The entrance animation shows the process of the younger sister gradually "becoming" the older sister, abandoning herself and becoming the darling of the throne.
The press animation expresses the desire to escape the painful memory, the self gradually lost under the fine clothes, and can no longer tell who she is.

- It's the first costume to have a moving card and a unique description box, as well as the first costume to change the matching room chair.
- It's likely that Mnemosyne being in the name of this costume is also a reference to the potion named "
MnemosyneDionysus" on the Potion List from the Main Story. When consumed, the "MnemosyneDionysus" potion would be capable of erasing memories, making this potion the key ingredient Vera needs in order to finish perfecting Euphoria's formula. - While wearing the costume, if Vera's health happens to be at less than 100% yet more than 50%, her costume will change to its injured form while keeping non-injured in-game animations.
