Background

Little is known about the background of Mr. Leroux other than he was French. At some point, he was able to obtain an optical device belonging to Joseph Desaulniers for a mere 7 shillings. Sometime after, he "ran into some trouble" and moved from France to the Netherlands to focus on his research regarding the device.

At some point, Mr. Leroux would take Amanda Gaddis in as a protege, giving her a magic lantern.

At some point later, Mr. Leroux would host an exhibition about a slide projector. In attendance would be Elliot's Nephew who coincidentally was trying to track down Mr. Leroux. After the exhibition, Elliot's nephew would try to speak with him, but Mr. Leroux had already left. Determined to learn more, Elliot's nephew had decided to visit the old man the next day.

It is currently unknown what happened after that.
