After experiencing betrayals and struggles, Murro decided to give up trying to fit into so-called civilized society. Perhaps the Oletus Manor would be his ultimate destination?

Murro Morton or Murro, also known as the Wildling, is an Assist/Rescue Hybrid Type and Difficulty 1.5 Survivor available for purchase after completion of the prologue. He is one of 43 playable Survivors added to Identity V.

After all, no one cares about a toy or ornament they've grown tired of.

—Murro (Wildling's Birthday 2021)

Appearance

Murro is a tall, thin doll with fair skin, unkempt, tangled, greying brown hair with bits of dry leaves trapped within, a thick, matching bush mustache, short, furrowed, greying brown eyebrows, and tiny, slanted brown button eyes cross-stitched with white thread.

He wears a dull yellow coat with three black buttons on either side over a pale tan collared shirt and loose red tie, matching pants and suspenders, and leather boots. A tear is visible in his left forearm, showing cotton stuffing. A large brown boar with lighter brown patches of fur, dark brown button eyes cross-stitched with light grey thread, haphazard white stitching all over its body, scratches, bits of dry leaves tangled in its fur, and two white tusks poking out of its mouth is to his right.

Gameplay

The Wilding is an assist/rescue-type Survivor who has a Boar companion whom he can ride to move quickly around the area, potentially stun the Hunter, and take hits for him while he's mounted atop the Boar. If it takes too much damage or his rage runs out, he is forced to dismount for at least ninety seconds. He is terrible at decoding, and having more than one Wildling in a team decreases both decoding speed and Boar riding time for all Wildlings.

External Traits

Below is a list of Wildling's intrinsic traits. For more in-depth information, please check the individual pages.

External Traits
Trait Description
WildlingPartner
Wildling Partner
Wildling found a loyal partner while he was growing up in the jungle. Wildling can actively guide his Partner between Following State and Riding State.

Following State
Wildling moves slower than other Survivors in this state. Wildling can command his partner to Howl, disrupting the Hunter's hearing, causing Tinnitus and Listen to lose effect temporarily for 10 seconds.

Riding State
Rage: In this state, the partner gains Rage as time goes on, and movement speed increases as Rage accumulates. When Rage is full, the partner will Bump is a specified direction. Bump will not stun Hunters, but it will increase the struggle progress of a ballooned Survivor held by a balloon by 10% (if the Hunter is hit while ballooning a Survivor, the ballooned Survivor will be released). Bumping the Hunter into an object will reset the ability's cooldown and regain a large amount of Rage. Facing the Hunter directly will dramatically increase the partner's Rage accumulating speed.

Fatigue: Wildling's partner will feel fatigued. Moving and Bumping will consume the partner's energy, and each ride will accelerate the basic consumption of the partner's energy. The Riding State will end when the energy is used up. The maximum duration of each ride is 50/40/25 seconds. If there are many Wildling Partners in a match, the partner will become fatigued faster.

NatureGuardian
Nature Guardian
Wildling Partner can block incoming damage for the Wildling during Riding State. When the partner runs out of HP, it will be wounded and escape temporarily. During the period, Wildling will not be able to guide his partner. Hunters attacking the Wildling Partner will not trigger attack recover action.
FeralInstincts
Feral Instincts
While riding, with the help of his partner, Wildling's terrain interaction speed is increased by 10%, and he is even able to cross low terrains. His partner will leave additional Footprints, causing Wildling's Footprints to be remained by an additional 2 seconds.
AllThumbs
All Thumbs
Wildling, having lived in the wild for a long time, is terrible with Machines. Decoding speed is decreased by 25%.

Abilities in other Gamemodes

Wildling Ability Changes in Other Game Modes
Modes Change
Duo Hunters No change
Blackjack The Wildling's Riding charging time is greatly reduced, and the Wild Boar no longer takes any damage for him.
Tarot Normal The debuff when more than one Wildling is in play is removed in this mode. The Riding duration is limited to 25 seconds. When he ends the Riding state voluntarily, the cooldown has been adjusted to 45 seconds. Bumping your Knight will be deemed as a collision and will not repel them. Your Knight won't contribute to Wildling's Rage accumulation progress.
Crystal Ball Mode Using the Wilding's boar bumping no longer consumes additional energy, and its cooldown is reduced to 5 seconds. However, the maximum riding duration is reduced to less than 25 seconds.

Tips

Against this Survivor

  • Nightmare's "double dash" final presence ability can force him out of the boar, as hitting a boar does not force an attack recovery.
