Paper Queen is a A-Tier Costume for the Dream Witch, Yidhra. It was introduced in Season 19 Essence 3.

Yidhra's skin is a sickly pale color with black stains around the eyes. Her hair, like the rest of the costume, is light blonde and seemingly made of paper, with two big curls framing her face and a big stiff "braid" rolled up in the back. Her long nails are red and her lips are a dark purple. Her snake tail is now made of rolled up, torn white paper.
Outfit[]
Almost the entirety of Yidhra's outfit is made of white paper. She is wearing a multi-layered dress with long sleeves which face into a dark gray color. The lower layer is intricately cut, in a way that resembles a paper snowflake, and it can be seen on the end of her sleeves, deep V neckline and her shoulders. The top layer is cut more simply in a zig-zag pattern, but its adorned with two big roses on the left side of Yidhra's chest and a belt with a big oval buckle. On her head there is a spiky crown, and her hair is decorated with small white flowers and a shining purple flower. Her eye mask is a dark purple, and there is a pearly necklace around her neck.

She has the same pale skintone and blonde paper hair as Yidhra, styled in a wavy bob. She seems to have small cuts on her face, as well as paper or bandages around her hands and legs. Her left eye is yellow and her right eye glows purple.

Yidhra's follower wears a dress almost identical to hers, albeit with less details. It reaches above her knee. Her shoes are white heels with a bow and a small purple flower on each of them. Like Yidhra, her hair is also adorned with small white flowers, as well as one bigger purple flower on the right side of her head.

It is a classic pickaxe, wrapped in white paper.

It is said that when the tide returns at the end of the year, wanderers should return to their nests, and people in small towns near the sea are all looking forward to those who have traveled far away to come home to reunite and spend the festival together. But they don’t know since when, reunion has become a luxury hope. The wanderers never come back, leaving one after another waiting in the town eagerly looking forward to it.
In order to express their feelings, the townspeople wrote letters home about their thoughts, wishes and beautiful and unforgettable old times, folded them into paper dolls with their dexterous hands, and threw them into the sea, hoping that the night tide would deliver them to their relatives and friends, calling the wanderer home.
However, their hopes failed again and again, and the townspeople began to resent the surrounding environment and resent that the puppets made only of paper could not escape the engulfment of the waves. In the night dream, it seems as if there is a petrel whispering in the ear, guiding the townspeople to follow and sing, and even asking for "children" in exchange for the return of the wanderers.
The shadows lingering on the turbulent sea, the resentful couple sinking under the vast sea, the hidden plans in the whispers of petrels... Who is the obstacle in the way of the wanderer's return, and who can set up a beacon on the way back home?

In the highlight poster released by "Identity V", a storm enveloped the sea, with only the center of the storm showing a trace of light. The essence of the story "A Letter from Home" vividly presents the paper puppet drifting with the waves in the bottle, hoping to send their thoughts to you, overcoming many difficulties, and looking for the destination of the long journey under the guidance of the stormy petrel. The story of their families, but the countless drifting bottles and broken bottles behind Haiyan hint that the ending is not so simple.

The Dream Witch - Paper Queen's whole body is wrapped in exquisite white paper art, hollowed out, symmetrical, layered... various paper-cutting and origami techniques are brought together, even the crown is folded out of white paper, highlights her noble status; the follower's clothing is basically similar to hers, but she wears white small heels, and the cute bows reveal their love for beauty; the skirts of both seem to be made of square letter paper, and the paper can still be vaguely seen to text and fire lacquer seal.

Design Idea Plans[]
"Paper Queen" is dominated by "rolled paper", with old letter paper and old photos as symbols. After coming up with the idea of "rolling paper", we think that the dream witch is the most suitable for this plan, because both the performance of the curling paper of the hair and the performance of the tail are promising. In terms of elements, washed stationery constitutes clothes, and old photos constitute accessories, which symbolizes that certain memories and bonds will gradually fade with the passage of time. No matter what type of relationship is, it needs to be maintained, and bonds are two-way.
Design Idea Sketch[]
According to the background story of the Dream Witch - Paper Queen, we decided to design a paper doll image. The regulators of this fashion are full of resentment towards the sea, because people make their yearning into paper dolls and let them drift on the sea. Although they are resentful, they still have a little homesickness.
The first version of the sketch, the design is a bit piled up, the image is too beautiful, and it does not reflect the resentment of the paper queen
In the second version of the sketch, we took the sketch of plan 3 and continued to optimize it. We made the paper into various states soaked in sea water, curled, wrinkled, yellowed, and broken, to reflect the resentment of the paper queen, and at the same time, in the hair insert an island flower from the hometown to reflect the homesickness, but due to the bone material and other reasons, such as the large skirt needs to be optimized, and the carving knife is not suitable for holding, which will affect the movement and feel.
In the third version, the questions in the previous version were revised and refined at the same time, and the final draft was determined.

Showroom Interface Design[]
The waves washed the paper figurines to the shore, but they still came with the momentum of huge waves. The Dream Witch-Paper Queen waved her hand, and the waves returned in vain under the barrier of flower petals. The petals are fluttering in the wind, guarding the abandoned paper dolls.
The powerful ability and resentment of the Dream Witch-Paper Queen are feared by everyone and locked away from everyone. The Dream Witch-Paper Queen dismissed her, her contemptuous mouth and laughter revealed her disdain and aloofness.
The abandoned paper doll waved a weapon, broke through the confinement, and vented its dissatisfaction and hatred of being abandoned.

- Mechanic's Halloween costume, Paper Heart, is based on Paper Queen.
- Specifically, Paper Heart's design resembles that of the Follower's while wearing a crown similar to Yidhra's.
- Mechanic was likely chosen to wear a Dream Witch costume due to the shared mechanic of having multiple active bodies. Despite their opposing factions, they can be regarded as very similar characters in terms of gameplay.
