Playing Chinese Lute is a Limited S-Tier Accessory for the Priestess, Fiona Gilman. It was introduced as part of the 2022 Spring Festival. It was purchasable in Illusion Hall during the 2022 Spring Festival Event for a limited time between February 1st and February 23rd 2022.
The accessory is connected to the Wishing Lights (2022) Lore.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
It is a light blue Chinese lute with a gold lotus flower at the top and gold tassels hanging off the bottom. The top two tuning pegs have an intricate gold design while the bottom two are plain. The body has an image of Ephemeral on it. White fog swirls around it as well as small white sparkles.
Special Effect[]
Straight Passage[]
When placing a straight passage, there is a blue swirling effect. The straight passages appear to be lotus flowers and have swirls of blue smoke emanating from them. Vertically placed straight passages will have a bright blue beam of light connecting them.
Ultra-Long Passage[]
When summoning the ultra-long passage, waves of blue swirl around the forming portal and a white image of Ephemeral circles around it. Near the end of the summoning animation, a short lute song will play. The formed portal will have a similar appearance to the straight passage, but with an eye in the center.
Destroyed Animation[]
When portals are destroyed by the hunter, the blue swirls fade away with an image of Ephemeral.
Emote[]
It gives an exclusive emote, Playing Chinese Lute. Fiona dances and spins while holding the accessory, accompanied by three different pieces of Chinese lute music, played one at a time. When equipped, the emote icon is located on the bottom left corner of the first page of the "Behavior" menu and cannot be changed.
Trivia[]
- It is based off of a pipa, also called a Chinese lute, which is a traditional Chinese instrument with four strings.
- If the accessory effects are equipped on a different accessory, the emote Playing Chinese Lute is unavailable and does not appear on the player's behavior wheel. However, if the accessory is equipped, the emote will always appear, regardless of the equipped accessory effects.
