Poisoned Pen is an A-Tier Accessory for the "Nightmare", "Orpheus". It was introduced as part of the Season 22 Rank Treasure rewards. It is currently purchasable in the Illusion Hall.

Appearance

Physical

The accessory is a large golden fountain pen, with engraved hinges and a glass body which contains a bright red liquid, presumably ink.

Special Effects

The pen's tip constantly emits a red flow which dissipates into thin air. When using Spy, the corners of the screen will be surrounded by an orange flame-like frame, the progress counter is replaced by an orange one, and the claw marks above a spied survivor will have a rougher shape and be flaming red in color. When attacking while Poaching, orange and red effects are displayed while dashing, and disappear when stopping. Similar effects are shown when using Bad Omen, encasing "Nightmare" in flame-like spirals.

Design Notes

"Nightmare" - The Poisoned Pen is writing quickly on the paper, and the poison contained in the pen holder condenses along the tip of the pen into paragraphs of text, attracting readers who cannot bear to let go. In the end, they are completely trapped physically and mentally, and can no longer break free. However, while the "Nightmare" was writing, the poison was also constantly evaporating, causing him to fall into a dream from which he would never wake up.
