Sagittarius is a Reoccurring Time-Limited A-Tier Costume for the Mercenary, Naib Subedar. It was introduced to the Illusion Hall for the Call of the Abyss VI tournament to celebrate the winners of Call of the Abyss V.
Availability[]
As it is not a true Limited Costume (which are denoted by the "limited" tag found in the top right of certain card icons), it can return to the Illusion Hall shop multiple times. It frequently returns with its pairing Costume Sirius.
- It was originally available for purchase February 23rd to March 22nd, 2023 to celebrate the winners of Call of the Abyss V.
- It returned for purchase from April 30th to May 22nd, 2024 during the Call of the Abyss VII Finals.
- It returned for purchase from April 30th to May 21st, 2025 during the Call of the Abyss VIII Finals.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Naib's left eye is golden and his right eye is amber. He has charcoal smeared on his left cheek and also has his hair in a ponytail with a tuft of hair loose.
Outfit[]
Naib wears a black cap with golden details. On his right eye is a golden monocle. He has a a bronze chest plate with a circle containing the symbol of team WOLVES on the front left. On the back of the chest plate is a series of scrolls with the names of the members of WOLVES. Under this is a black embroidered long-sleeved turtle neck that is burnt at the bottom. Around his waist are several brown belts, one of these securing two bronze canisters. He wears black pants extending into clawed boots, on his hands are black gloves and he has bronze claws on his fingers.
Elbow Pads[]
His elbow pads are made of bronze. His right elbow pad is cone shaped with a metal plate fastened on it, while is left elbow pad is shaped like a soda can and has two amber lights on it.

After sufficient communication with the team and continuous optimization of the design ideas and style elements, the A costumes Sculptor - Sirius and Mercenary - Sagittarius are freshly released and will be on sale from today.
Sky bow to find wolf, pick star crown honor
In COA V, the performance of the Wolves survivors was also excellent, especially in the second half of the third game of the finals. The Mercenary used by Wolves_Lion faced the bomb array laid by Bonbon, rose to the challenge, and cooperated precisely with teammates to achieve three runs and defend the key match point. The battle also demonstrated the cohesion and team spirit of the wolf pack to the fullest!
Mercenary - Sagittarius, a A costume created for the survivors of the Wolves team, wears leather armor inside and gold armor outside, and his bright and eye-catching appearance; a large number of mechanical structures are exquisitely shaped, with vivid details, and the ignited fuse renders a tense pursuit atmosphere - the critical moment is coming, success or failure depends on it! The hem of the leather armor and the brim of the beret are faintly burning, but even if the fire burns the plain, the Wolves are still fearless!
On the left side of the golden armor, the Wolves LOGO shines with golden light, symbolizing the belief in defending the honor of the team; on the wristband, the COA logo is also dazzlingly displayed, recording the glory of winning the championship; on the battery behind, the names of all team members appear, so that every steel sprint of the Mercenary is carried with the expectations and support of teammates!
In the showroom interface, Mercenary - Sagittarius walks out of the diffuse smoke, constantly adjusting the various parts of his body to ensure that he is in the best condition for the game. He gently jumps up and turns around, and the eye-catching Wolves logo emerges, and the names of all the team members also appear. During the chase, Mercenary - Sagittarius's steel sprint will have a deep red special effect, which is more sharp.

Design Idea Plans[]
Sagittarius, seeks the wolf with the bow in the sky, picks up the star and win the reputation.
He is a Mercenary who is trying to track down the Sculptor. Before making the Mercenary's costume - Sagittarius, we talked to the club and decided to choose between a nobility style and steampunk style. At the same time, the production direction was determined: with black/gold as the main color scheme, combined with the famous scene of the event - Avenue of Stars.
While naming the costumes, we honored the team's wishes, and named them based on constellations (Sirius, Sagittarius) - the Sculptor's costume is named Sirius, and the Mercenary's costume is named Sagittarius, which is derived from the interpretation of hunt and capture.
Design Idea Sketches[]
The first version of the sketches are shown. The original theme was of a Queen and a Knight, and the Mercenary's design went in the direction of a noble knight and the court prince; the second theme was Sirius and steampunk, so the sketches incorporate steampunk elements over gentlemanly elements, making the design lean more towards a retro street steampunk style.
After communicating, we decided to choose steampunk and Sirius as the final theme, and used the costumes from the second sketch, with the face shape of the first sketch, as the final direction for the champions' costume production.
Made up of retro attire + steampunk-like armor, the Wolves logo is made into the source of the armor's energy, and the COAV logo are made into key components on the wrist guards, highlighting the glory of the Wolves team winning the COA championship.
The second version defined the costume prototype and modified the position of the players' signatures, which was originally located on the front, but was not ideal for a formal presentation of the honor roll. After communication, the second option was chosen for displaying the players' signatures.
However the overall pattern was too busy, and the mask obscured the Mercenary's features, making him less recognizable. In addition, we wanted to make this costume more unique, and combined with explosive and burning elements, we decided to adjust the wiring of the armor.
The third sketch is shown, and the costume is taking shape. The mask has been removed to better show the full face of the Mercenary, and traces of ash have been added. The design of the hat's pattern was simplified to make the head design fresher and make the clothing the main focus. The exhaust pipes on the armor were adjusted to smoking wires, echoing the famous scene of the tournament alongside the burn marks on the clothes.
At last, the final concept will be completed after further detailing and overall optimization.
Model Details Description[]
- The players' signatures were used, and presented in a hand-written way to reproduce the signatures as accurately as possible.
- The burn mark on the brim of the hat, armor and clothes echo the famous scene of the event - the Neon Corridor
- Matching with the steampunk theme, Wolverine claws are designed to show the unique characteristic of the Wolves team.
Showroom Interface Design[]
As he emerged from the chaotic explosion, he calmly patted out the sparks on his body, and the Sculptor's card fell from the air, which the Mercenary caught and examined. While catching the card, the name of the team appears, as if forming some kind of connection, but the card suddenly flies away.
Mercenary adjusted the circuits and lights on his body, and dropped a tarot card from his pocket, then picked it up, wiped it, and carefully put it back into the bag, since it was something he cherished.
The Wolves logo over his heart is covered with his right hand, feeling the energy with the rhythm of his heartbeat, and the energy overflows at the third heartbeat, Mercenary lifting up into the air and rotating 180º, the armor letting out a burst of golden light, and the signatures float out from the back, the protective seal of the armor.
In-Game Display[]
Mercenary - Sagittarius wears battle armor, with glowing hot sparks and steam, ready to save his teammates from danger at all times, guarding them in the manor.
