Season 1 of Identity V (global) started in July 5, 2018 and ended September 13, 2018. While this Season was ongoing, players could continue down the Logic Path by rolling dice, and open Essences which contain Costumes, Accessories, Images (Graffiti and Portraits), and Character actions (such as Emotes and Standby Motions) for Survivors and Hunters. Daily lucky dice was given once per day in addition to what was earned through matches.
At the end of the Season, the Essences were turned into a Memory Sphere, which can be redeemed using Clues instead of Inspiration. Unlike following seasons, the various essences were not combined into a single memory sphere, but have multiple due to the Global Season 1 being a merge between CN Season 1 and Season 2. (Season 1 Memory Sphere A being composed of Essence 1, 2, 3 and Rank Treasure A and Memory Sphere B includes Essence 4, 5, 6 and Rank Treasure B.)

Season 1 Essence 1 was added on July 5th, 2018, and introduced the new Hunter, the Gamekeeper, Bane Perez. This essence was originally not themed after anything specific. It was later updated to have a connection to Call of the Abyss II lore when the event released. This essence was added with the game's global release.

- Block 100 - Elegant White (Doctor): The unadorned style will make others feel at ease.
- Block 308 - Autumn (Gardener): Rapeseed flowers, ginkgo leaves, pot marigold...
- Block 1208 - Pink (Geisha): A pinky lady dances in the palace.
- Block 1528 - Platinum Aladdin (Magician): Stories in One Thousand and One Nights contain one thousand and one deductions. Platinum Aladdin is just one of the interesting derivatives among them.
