Season Rewards

Season 9 of Identity V started in December 12, 2019 and ended February 27, 2020. While this Season was ongoing, players could continue down the Logic Path by rolling dice, and open Essences which contain Costumes, Accessories, Images (Graffiti and Portraits), and Character actions (such as Emotes and Standby Motions) for Survivors and Hunters.

At the end of the Season, the Essences are combined into a Memory Sphere, which can be redeemed using Clues instead of Inspiration. However, S-Tier costumes will no longer be available.

Who is worthy to write the words of destiny?

Season 9 Essence 1 was added on December 12th, 2019, and introduced the new Survivor, the Postman, Victor Grantz. This essence was themed after vampires and vampire hunters. It is a continuation of the Castle Banquet Mystery event for Halloween 2019.

	The Embrace (Postman)	The origins of the Bloodline are no longer traceable, and the mystery of the Tome written by The Embrace has long been circulating internally. After the castle banquet, the Bloodline covenant collapsed with the Tome. But after the original owner appeared, the privilege to write destiny will no longer be neglected.

	Bloody Sword (Photographer)	Acts in the dark in order to seize the Tome's power. He saw the end of the castle through the mirror. But when The Embrace appeared so unexpectedly, he was powerless to do anything. Nevertheless, he was not going to let go of his prey.
	Misfit (Cowboy)	Having been betrayed and expelled from the Bloodline, he devoted himself to strengthening the church instead of wandering around in misery, setting himself apart from the rest. He believed in eliminating the oppression of the Bloodline convent and that there was a necessary price to pay for redemption.

B-Tier (Blue)

	Desperado (Coordinator)	After the banquet, she was at a loss. Releasing the Huntsman, she decided to return to the church alone to be punished. However, an internal turmoil drove her back to the castle to witness the final outcome of the three parties.
	Flavorful Spirits (Barmaid)	An outcast who chose vegetarianism as an alternative, replacing bloodthirsty instincts with alcohol. She was also one of the few whom the Count and the Butler could raise a glass to. Her secret recipe may just be another way for the Bloodline to escape notoriety.
	Lost Soul (The Ripper)	Tired of fighting endlessly, the Count finally found a place to call home after giving up on everything. However, with conflict brewing between the Bloodline and the church, will he continue to stay in disguise?
	Neophyte (Enchantress)	She eventually became a servant of the Tome, but instead of losing herself, she stood on the sidelines and hid in the depths of the church in order to explore the origins of both parties.
	Revolutionist (Dream Witch)	Hiding in the depths of the church, does the mysterious Revolutionist represent the true source of the Bloodline? She abandoned the Bloodline and became an outcast, trying to spread the power of the Bloodline to other living things.
	Wanderer (Prospector)	The wandering Bloodline has never followed the ancient customs. Until the castle is in turmoil again, the weakling who lost the covenant's protection could only live out their days in unrest.

Call of the Abyss III []

Season 9 Essence 2, more commonly known as the Call of the Abyss III Essence, was added on January 2nd, 2020. It was the third installment of the Call of the Abyss series of skins.

When he discovered that the Vile Blossom's deteriorating erosion can only be transferred and can't be eliminated, he chose to be the container himself. But who can ever replace her as Pickman's model?

	Puppeteer (Mechanic)	She never figured out why the investigation bureau sealed off the Secret of the Abyss, until the Netherwalker's existence made her realize the catastrophe if it is ever revealed. But the Abyss will no doubt find a way to show itself, and just when she is willing to step up...
	Surveyor (Seer)	The admirers call it the Nether, while the opponents call it the Abyss. To the Surveyor, this is how the indiscernible manipulate people's mind, so that the admirers become strong and the opponents shrink in fear. The erosion of the mind and engraving of the flesh through art is nothing but another one of their hobbies.
	Trickster (Embalmer)	The Trickster tried his best to protect the surveyors' mind from being eroded, just so they could continue with their journey on the road of darkness with the Abyss' creations in their hands. Yet his playful miscommunication finally took its toll on the Puppeteer.
	Whiplash (Cowboy)	At the exit on the other side, the veteran's last lesson for the newcomer is about choice: take on everything alone and stay behind, or accept the horrible price and leave. No matter which choice is made, it will only bring him closer to the Netherwalker.

B-Tier (Blue)

	Auctioneer (Photographer)	He never thought that Pickman, who was ridiculed as a copycat, could utilize his imitation skills so well on things from the Nether. As a manic admirer, the Auctioneer decided to spread the Netherwalker's work, so that the world would come to know of the Abyss' glamour and novelty.
	Bodyguard (Wildling)	He had never thought that there was anything wrong with the crudity of him and his companions, until he felt inferior in the face of the Vile Blossom. Yet the Netherwalker made it clear that all outdated rules and prejudice would be broken and remodeled. The sublimation into something more beautiful should never be kept as a monopolized secret.
	Patchwork (Prospector)	The disabled and the wounded will be eliminated by the investigation bureau. The cuts left by the Abyss won't be cured, and they will only be replaced by creatures of the Abyss which are even more inhumane and intolerable. No one wants to lose their mind due to the erosion, yet that's the fate of traitors.
	Porcelain Doll (Geisha)	The porcelain doll from the Far East emerged at the auction after it went missing for a long time. The ferocious soul attached to it seemed to have come from the Nether. The fools are therefore convinced that Pickman's art has surpassed the dimension of creation - that he has the ability to access the Nether.
	Teleoperator (Priestess)	Only the Abyss can confront the Abyss - when the dispute from the faraway snowland came over, she finally realized this is all but another pipedream. "The surveyor will be devoured by his own creation." She sent numerous messages to her companions, and yet she couldn't foresee this ending.

Season 9 Essence 3 []

Season 9 Essence 3 was added on January 20th, 2020, and introduced the new Hunter, the "Disciple", Ann. This essence was themed after a restaurant. It was the first non-Call of the Abyss essence to receive an animated trailer. This essence was labelled Season 9 Essence 2, but was the third on the Logic Path and used the icon for the third essence of the season.
