Shining Feather is a Limited S-Tier Costume for the Toy Merchant, Anne Lester. It was introduced in Season 16 Essence 1 and gave Toy Merchant for free with the costume.
The costume's essence was obtainable between May 8th and July 15th, 2021 on the Chinese Server and between May 13th and July 15th, 2021 on the Global Servers.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Anne's build remains the same, while her hair is now brown and braided with gold strings. She has light pale skin and her button eyes are now flower shaped and blue with gold accents. Each eye also has 2 top eyelashes and 1 bottom eyelash.
Outfit[]
When equipped, Anne wears a silky silvery-white dress that reaches to the middle of her calf, with long sleeves that are drawn together at her wrist. A textured turquoise-blue color is at the bottom hem and makes up the majority of the bodice of the dress. At the edges of the turqioise dye is thick and ornate gold embroidery which trails in two parallel lines down the front overlay that is slightly transparent and is layered over the skirt of the dress, and is also noticable at the chest in a V shape. On her feet is a pair of silken turquoise-blue slippers with curled toes[1] and which have a dark red portion at the top of the foot, while golden bands are around her ankles.
On her wrists are turquoise bracelets, at her waist is a large golden key with wings hanging from a leather cord, around her neck is a gold chain with a piece of turquoise hanging from it, and she has dangling golden earrings each embedded with a large piece of turquoise. On her head is a headress made of turquoise segments and golden strands, and it is adorned with a gold eagle with open wings and round ruby embedded in its chest at the front.

Catapults[]
Anne's Catapult remains the same shape, however it is now blue and yellow, decorated with mostly triangle shapes on the base, wheels and paddle.
Wooden Wings[]
Her Wooden Wings is now shaped like a golden bird with blue and turquoise accents on its body and feathers. Its eyes are also blue. There is a turquoise basket attached to the handle with a rope that stores her item containers.
Toy Soothing[]
Toy Box[]
The Toy Box remains relatively the same shape, but it is now a turquoise color with gold trims. There is a symbol of a golden bird depicted on the doors of the box that glows and emits glowing yellow particles. It also has a keyhole on its body. There are 2 dark blue gemstones in place of its feet that glow faintly. There's can also be found a bright cyan gemstone located above the bird which also glows. There's many dark blue triangle shapes ornament along the sides of the Toy Box as well as some yellow ones.
Toy Container[]
Lastly, Anne's containers remain the same shape but have a dark blue and turquoise bottom decorated with upside down triangles and a red sphere at the bottom of the cone shape. The top part is gold and has a big red gemstone at the top which is circled by a multitude of smaller dark blue and turquoise gemstones that shine periodically.
Special Effects[]
Anne's headpiece as well as her key located on her left hip have a golden aura surrounding it. Her earrings and the gemstone on her Toy Box have cyan particles that droop down. All of her jewelry glows and some of her gold attire has sparkles and particles that emit from them.

Face the darkness and interpret the legend of the desert
Some people fear the desert, some hate it, some yearn for it, and some are curious about it, but no one can deny that countless wonderful dramas have been staged in this land that connects foreign lands, and the caravans from afar are the most eye-catching protagonists on this stage.
Carrying the mission of her tribe, the reclusive little princess embarked on a journey into the desert. She carried a treasure box full of gorgeous jewelry with her and set off for a foreign land with the caravan.
As late night fell, an undercurrent surged silently. The witch disguised as a maid and her men captured the princess in an attempt to take away the treasure chest. Fortunately, the fellow travelers in the caravan lit a fire and took advantage of the chaos to rescue the princess. But just as the crisis was over, the princess discovered that the life-saving straw was just a premeditated plan for another hunt, and her companions also had ulterior motives and came for money.
Taking advantage of the darkness, the princess galloped away. She finally understood that the weak would only become prey in the desert. If she did not want to be prey, she could only reach out her hands bravely and touch the flying birds and eagles.
Only by not being afraid of hardships can we usher in the light
Don't be afraid and sad because of the darkness. All travelers in the desert must remember: the sacred eagle will only bestow the honor on those who have the courage to reach out and catch its light.
Toy Merchant - Shining Feather wears a knee-length skirt. The bright and bright colors and shimmering turquoise give people a fresh and dignified feeling; the whole body is decorated with various gems and gold ornaments, with a bright luster The exquisite workmanship highlights her noble status, and the unique shape shows the exotic style from the other side of the desert; there is a huge golden key on her waist, which may be the key to opening the treasure chest; she wears a crown on her head, tassels and necklaces highlight her beauty, and the condor-shaped decoration exudes a golden halo, symbolizing courage and glory.

Essence Backstory
The caravans from afar are the most eye-catching scenery in this desert. They come with rare treasures and return with wforeign wealth, writing countless legends along the way.
It is rumored that the reclusive little princess carries a mysterious treasure chest, follow the caravan on a journey across the desert to witness the magnificent scenery along the way. The treasure chest contains the most gorgeous treasures and the most sophisticated mechanisms, and only the royal family knows how to open it.
However, when night fell, the maid in the caravan rebelled, revealing her true colors as a witch. A fire broke out at the banquet, and the princess escaped from the rebellious maid with the help of her companions. Unexpectedly, she found out that the men who helped her escape were actually a group of robbers who came for money and sneaked into the caravan early.
The little princess finally realized that the weak will always be the prey in this desert. Instead of waiting for others to save her, she should become her own hero.
Essence Design
For the new character the Toy Merchant, we hoped to incorporate her experience and personality into the essence story. In the character's background story, the weak girl becomes brave and awakens herself. In the essence, we also hope to reflect her awakening and growth — a lady does not just wait meekly for someone to save the beauty, she also has great courage and strength.
The style of this essence is inspired by Persian mythology. The color scheme and design of the Toy Merchant's costume refers to traditional elements and famous female figures, and we were hoping to express her identity as a princess while also including her inner self. The identity of the conjurer is a glamorous and menacing witch. The black snake on her shoulder speaks to Hell Ember, who is controlled by her, and has a unique charm. Hell Ember is an immortal guard, a stone giant, majestic and domineering. Together with the bandit camp in the unique costumes, the 3-party confrontation hopes to create the feeling of a desert legend and show exotic customs.
Initial Sketches
We refer to the costumes of ancient Persian aristocratic women, and want to design a pampered, noble and kind Persian little princess character, with a treasure chest key hanging on her waist. Out of the first three versions of the sketch, the first one is closer to the feeling of a princess, but the clothes around her head are too dense, making it a bit hard to recognize it is the Toy Merchant, so we removed the headscarf and veil and focused on her braids. In terms of clothing, since the white area is too large and the overall appearance is plain, we further enriched the colors, material and decoration of the costume, and finally completed the design of the Persian princess.

Costume Details
- The eagle-shaped crown gives off a golden halo of light, symbolizing glory and courage, dispelling her fear of the dark night.
- There is a golden key on her waist, meant to be used to unlock the mysterious treasure chest.
- Bright, vibrant colors, combined with shimmering turquoise, makes the whole outfit look very exotic.
- Skirt fluttering, the travelers in the desert will see her light.
Showroom Notes
The princess came to everyone on a delicate hang glider, with a light and flexible figure.
After landing on the ground, the princess waved her sleeves, and beautiful golden flowers appeared and surrounded her.
The innocent princess takes out a toy plane from behind and throws it into the distance, representing her innocence and beautiful fantasy of the unknown.
Unexpected attacks came from all around her, and the weak princess could only dodge it with all her strength.
The princess wakes up and finally realizes that the weak will only become prey. After becoming strong, the princess seems to be equipped with infinite courage, and she exudes a fearless golden light.
Costume Effects
A golden eagle, a symbol of courage, radiates gold light from on top of her head, which compliments the keys by her waist. The turquoise accessories on the chest and wrist of the noble born princess also emits a soft shimmer, making the whole outfit look beautiful, elegant and dignified.
