The beauty of Geisha's S costume Shiromuku is full of fairy spirit. She wears an elegant and beautiful white kimono, and the red trim and golden lines enrich the visual effect. The tulle on the head looks very delicate, which well sets off the charm of oriental beauty. Prajna is wearing a long red dress, with a ferocious face, black hair flying, and anger evident in her words, which makes people more curious about the story behind Shiromuku.

"This costume takes into reference the characteristics of the traditional Japanese Shiromuku, a type of kimono worn by brides in Japanese weddings."

"The outermost white robe was initially too thick. For the sake of aesthetic beauty and sensibility of the costume model, the clothing was designed to be more close-fitting. Traditional white wasn't used for the inner robe and tasseled knot, rather, gold was chosen instead to match with the gold fan, and the visual center of gravity of the head can be shifted down properly in order to prevent oppression.”

"As for the patterns, the clothing is adorned with a darker embroidery, and the chosen patterns were cranes and peonies. The crane mainly represents purity and longevity, while the peony represents the beauty and happiness of women. However, what is ironic is that Michiko has basically lost all of these. "

"The shiromuku paired with the white wataboshi hood also has a special meaning. In the past, it was believed that women's long hair was possessed by spirits, and they feared that 'women would grow horns and turns into demons when mad with jealousy'. As a result, they would use a white hood to cover the bride's hair to ward off evil spirits. "

"The post-transformation Michiko in her Prajna form discarded her white robe and hood, turning into a devil with long horns. Her hair accessories pre-transformation are saved, but they have become torn and damaged like her clothes, on the edges of which traces of burning can be seen. The burns, along with the special effect of ashes, are to show that the burning fire of her anger and rage has not faded."

Trivia[]

  • The Shiromuku is a traditional Japanese wedding kimono often worn by brides of traditional samurai families.[3]
  • The Shiromuku is similar to The Bride since they are both wedding outfits, albeit from different cultures.
  • The Shiromuku can be seen dancing in the map Eversleeping Town. The dance is the same as her entrance showroom animation.
  • The Shiromuku and The Bride exclusively have the color of the balloons changed to black-and-white. This change was also intentional as these are the skins reflecting Michiko's desire (The Bride) and harsh reality (Shiromuku) and playing an important role in her backstory.
