Siegeforged is a Reoccurring Time-Limited A-Tier Costume for The Breaking Wheel, The Will Brothers. It was introduced to the Illusion Hall for the Call of the Abyss VIII tournament to celebrate the winners of Call of the Abyss VII, GG.

Availability

As it is not a true Limited Costume (which are denoted by the "limited" tag found in the top right of certain card icons), it can return to the Illusion Hall shop multiple times. It frequently returns with its pairing Costume Silken Steps.

• It was originally available for purchase from April 3rd to May 5th, 2025 to celebrate the winners of Call of the Abyss VII.

Unafraid of wind and rain, winning four championships
After the 2024 Call of the Abyss VII event came to an end, the A costumes design work of the champion team Chengdu GG were quickly launched. After in-depth communication and exchanges with the team, the design team fully absorbed the team's characteristic elements and cleverly integrated them into the fashion design, and carefully created two commemorative [A Costume] The Breaking Wheel - Siegeforged and [A Costume] Entomologist - Silken Steps.

Break the enemy's formation with force, turn the tide of battle
The hunter of the COA VII champion Chengdu GG team's A champion costume is Polun. As one of the representative supervisors of GG_xawm, Polun shined during the COA VII event! With his superb operation and precise control of the situation, he turned the tide of the battle many times at critical moments and won valuable points for the team! His powerful pressure broke through the opponent's formation countless times, and Polun in his hands has unlimited possibilities!

[A Costume] The Breaking Wheel - Siegeforged, maple leaves in the forest brush past the bamboo hat on the head, red shawl fluttering in the wind, white masks hiding the true emotions, only the golden team logo flashing on the chest - they are still ready to go, ready at any time. The time of seclusion has allowed the skills to be precipitated, and the skilled craftsmen can realize all their ideas. The magic tools in their hands are engraved with delicate patterns. When the wooden ox and flowing horse finally came out, everyone knew that this had become the key to breaking the formation. When they worked together, their bodies and weapons turned into a steady giant wheel, the red glow outlined the outline of the team logo, and the sharp spikes opened up an unstoppable edge.

The red as the main color, the unique oriental charm and the flying rose cards are perfectly combined in the costume, making the [A Costume] The Breaking Wheel - Siegeforged wise and courageous in the game. Just like the meaning of the abbreviation GG, the team will continue to pursue excellence and maintain a positive competitive spirit.

As schemes ignite the battle's roar, a hundred days crown the victor's lore.

Before designing the champion costume, we communicated extensively with the team and settled on the design direction of a "New Chinese Style" theme. We drew inspiration from Chengdu GG's previous champion costumes and Sichuan's cultural heritage, incorporating cultural features from the providence (Chengdu's Lantern Festival, Sichuan Mahjong, Nanjian Red Leaves) along with references to Shu Hang from the Three Kingdoms period (Kongming Lanterns, Wooden Oxen and Flowing Horses) to create Wuxia(martial arts) themed Champion costumes.

Entomologist plays the role of a wandering swordsman searching for a "light" in the darkness of the streets. She wears a bamboo hat on her head and a sword at her waist. She goes to no end on her search for the light. Just as she finds herself at a loss, she discovers a breakthrough in a wooden box in the forest. Finally, she lit up the sky with a Kongming lantern and witnesses a rare golden rain.

When Chengdu GG was first established, most of its members were rookies and had never participated in large-scale competitions. Yet, thanks to their unity and determination, they continued to light Kongming lanterns until the entire battlefield was illuminated—sparking an inextinguishable blazing fire. The golden rain in the posters and in-game effects is to make up for the fact that they were unable to be showered with golden rain in the finals.

The Breaking Wheel plays the role of a reclusive craftsman in the mountains who likes to take naps and drink tea by a well. At first, they are overlooked by others, but when they were truly needed, they used their unique skills to craft the "wooden oxen and flowing horses" that were key to breaking the battle formation. Just like Chengdu GG's team's hunter, who was once a "benchwarmer who guarded the water cooler." However, when the team needed him, he dropped the wooden bowl he used for drinking water from his hand, stepping up and using his tool to deliver a brilliant performance—ultimately becoming a key role in their path to victory. We also incorporated elements such as roses and tangyuan into The Breaking Wheel's outfit and animations as tribute to his outstanding performance in the COA tournament.

Together, the two costumes combine similarly to how hunters and survivors cooperate with each other to continue to forge the path before them. Even if they become stuck, they never forget their original aspirations until they discover the key to victory. Chengdu GG's COA champion skins symbolize their difficult journey, inseparable from their efforts and contributions from each member of their team.

Design Idea Sketch
The background for Breaking Wheel's costume is a craftsman who lives in seclusion in the mountains. Though talented, they remain unrecognized, waiting for someone who can truly recognize their skills.

This costume is based on a short-sleeved men's hanfu, wearing a bamboo hat, cloak, and belt. It also incorporates elements of mahjong, red leaves, and Shu embroidery cloud patterns to highlight its Sichuan inspiration.

The first sketches were in line with the theme. After communicating with the team, we chose a red and white colour scheme, lessened the mahjong elements, and changed the face to a mask closer to those found in Sichuan province's culture. The mask corresponds to Breaking Wheel's three expressions-- Ridicule, Pessimistic, and Reticent. There is also Sichuan embroidery, roses, and other details in the clothing patterns.

In later iterations, we strengthened the leaves and mahjong block special effects, and added the team logo in accessories and special effects to the costume's chest. Thus, the design for The Breaking Wheel- Siegeforged was completed.

Showroom Interface Design

Deep in the secluded bamboo forest is a quiet place to hide. They seem to be leisurely, but they have not relaxed their vigilance. When they notice the movements, they quickly merge into the giant wheel to protect this pure land.

The box that was swinging away attracted a wonderful firefly, guiding them to use their long-grown skills to complete the wooden ox and horse that turned the situation around.

In-Game Display

The maple leaves on his hat fall gracefully, and mahjong plaques with roses are scattered from time to time on the wooden magic tools that are shattering. Whether in the countryside or in the battlefield, they are at ease.

Trivia

• The costume's Chinese name is the title of a poem: "破阵子", or "Breaking the Formation", a poem by Xin Qiji. It is a poem about loyalty to the emperor and the author's ambitions and his grief at being unable to realize his ambitions due to old age.
