Soul Departure is a hunter ability belonging to the Geisha, Michiko. This ability is unlocked upon reaching the first marker of the Hunter's Presence.

Ability Details

Michiko enters genesis mode, changes into Prajna form and jumps into the air to overlook the surrounding. In this mode, she can use Dancing in Misery and increase the casting distance for Dancing in Misery and Dash Hit. But, should Michiko's face be seen by a Survivor, Panic form will be activated and she will not be able to use Dash Hit.

Gameplay

This ability causes Geisha to jump directly up into the air, and hover there for as long as the player wants. It gives them a higher POV, allowing them to see more of the map to find survivors, use Dancing in Misery in a further distance to a survivor's standing and immediately cast Dash Hit to their location.

• When Soul Departure is used, Geisha can use Dancing in Misery and increase the casting distance for her other two mentioned skills (from 30 meters to 49.98 meters in the air). Additionally, when dashing to a Survivor with a Swallow Butterfly attached to them, the max distance will increase to 60 meters in the air.
• Using Soul Departure helps Geisha transition to a higher ground from below immediately as long as there is a visible Swallowtail Butterfly on the destination.
• Using Soul Departure can also help Geisha avoid getting stunned by pallets and stunners' items (excluding Flare Gun). However, players can also avoid the Flare Gun hit during the process of jumping up into the air animation before Soul Departure enters its idle animation.
• It is frequently used to camp an occupied Rocket Chair, as Geisha will have a falling animation before touching the ground - if she attacks before touching the ground and hits a survivor (or specific object that would usually start the attack recover animation), there will not be an attack recovery animation
  • After deactivating the skill or dash to a butterfly from 1cm away (mostly with unenhanced Dash Hit, if with enhanced one, it is the farthest distance a butterfly can be spawned after tapping the ability during idle animation, ≈1.9m), dash to a survivor with a butterfly from ⪅3.5m away (applied for both unenhanced and enhanced Dash Hit, doesn't count when being stared at), or Dash Hit suddenly stops when dashing to a moving Swallowtail Butterfly before it disappears behind a solid obstacles and structrues while the distance between Geisha and the ground below is more than 1m, Geisha will have a falling down animation before reverting back to her idle animation. During the falling time, she is able to immediately land an attack.
  • All hunters will not have an attack recovery if they manage to hit someone during their falling animation.

S-Tier

• Reluctant Hug - The effect will be green and pink with small butterflies.

A-Tier

• Burning Cherry - The effect will be red and black, with some visible flame particles.
• Falling Butterfly - The effect will be white and black, with some small white butterflies floating around.
• Kitsune Mask - The effect will be blue with little visible light yellow at the bottom, and some visible blue particles.
