Backstory
Character Introduction
Tracy is a mechanic. She had been wrapped up in her "useless" little inventions and obsessed with gunpowder experiments. These projects soon depleted her inheritance from her parents and put her deeply in debt. The invitation letter promised a golden prize, but what truly attracted Tracy were the secret gadgets in the manor…[4]
Chinese Website Backstory
Tracy, who spends her days indulging in all sorts of inventions, is an unabashed mechanical genius who is able to rely on her own ingenuity to develop mechanical humanoids. Previously, Tracy inherited an inheritance from her parents, but due to her own experiments of all kinds, this fortune was quickly depleted and she was left with a huge debt. However, an invitation from Oletus Manor promised great prizes, and Tracy became increasingly fascinated by the manor's secret mechanisms.[5]
Expanded Backstory
Tracy Reznik lost her mother soon after she was born. Her father, Mark Reznik, relied on revenue from his watch shop to raise his daughter alone. She would often loiter within her father's shop ever since the day she was born. This gentle and honest watchmaker loved to talk to his daughter, who was only recently learning how to speak, at work, even if she didn't understand anything. "The oscillating movement is the beating heart of the clock." He often said those words - perhaps, it was this catchphrase that sparked Tracy's fascination with machinery as she grew up.
When Tracy was ten years old, Mark found that there were always broken pendulum clocks in the studio that would return to normal the next day. After a specially guarded night, he discovered that his daughter Tracy was a mechanical genius. The proud father was so elated that his wife had left him the most precious gift of all.
Tracy's talents were brought into full play in the next few years. She combined a mechanical watch with electricity and used electromagnetic fluctuations to reduce the clock's error. The Reznik watch studio became famous for this product which did not require frequent time adjustments. Mark opened an independent studio for Tracy and encouraged her to conduct more in-depth research on electricity and machinery. Tracy quickly created some rough robotic figures, which she used to sneak into her father's studio for pranks, trying to hide one or two parts while he was concentrating on work, but Mark would always catch her immediately. Even if the two were not in the same room, the hearts of father and daughter have never been separated.
The strong performance of the new-style watches quickly aroused the jealousy of their peers. They bought the manufacturing process from Mark, but the stubborn Mark refused to sell his daughter's work, claiming that he would wait until Tracy was of age and let her decide. However, this persistence quickly ended in a tragic way.
When Mark suffered an explosion during one of his daily jobs delivering high-voltage electricity to a vacuum tube, Tracy was notified and rushed to her father's workshop, only to find rubble and charred remains. Tracy believed that a faulty circuit would not have caused such a serious explosion; something must have been tampered with. Soon, she was notified of a succession of debts. Almost all of the suppliers to Reznik's studio claimed to have supplied Mark with large quantities of high-priced raw materials before the explosion, and Mark had not paid even a single penny.
Tracy accepted all the debts and declared that she was unable to repay them. At the same time, three clockmakers approached her with a joint request to buy the electric clock manufacturing process. Tracy said she was willing to sell the manufacturing process, but she needed some time. Over the next six months, several similar explosions occurred in the area, and the wires were short-circuited by the same method of connection. The police investigated the series of accidents, but apart from some strange metal joints, they could not find any trace left by the suspect.
Tracy’s electric clock manufacturing process was never sold in the end, but people did not see discouragement on the face of the watch shop owner. She still opened the shop every day, and placed a robot resembling Mark in the shop, as if the debt notices sent every day did not exist.
Until, one day, the postman handed Tracy a letter with a strange seal. The next day, the studio was hung up with a notice stating that it was closed, and no one had ever seen the young shopkeeper and her inseparable robotic figure ever again.[6]

An order invoice (2020)
Dear Miss Reznik:
Greetings!
I'm grateful to receive your order again. Most of the items in the order are now ready, but I regret to inform you that our mass-produced products won't be able to fulfill the flexibility required for one of the components for joint connections in your order.
However, we can refer you to an expert on the production of this type of component. His talent is unquestionable, but he is a bit eccentric and doesn't accept repeated modifications to the finished product. In view of the high cost of such components, we recommend that you meet with him personally to discuss the customization.
His address is as follows:
(the bottom half of the letter has been torn off)
Manor Diary, Page Four (2021)
In the afternoon, yet another person arrived at the manor.
He seemed like a well-educated fellow, but his attire was enough to tell me he was anything but a good person.
We exchanged the briefest greetings when we first met, as we were all quite busy.
But as I was preparing to disassemble an old clock on the wall, he suddenly appeared behind me, asking for the time. I told him it was 3:21 PM.
When I turned to look at him, he was gazing at me, apparently lost in thought. I explained to him that I am a watchmaker, one that has invented all manner of watch parts, some of which could be used to fix the aforementioned clock.
I told him there were only two reasons that could explained the clock's malfunctioning—either the battery had died, or it needed to be rewound. The man seemed to take interest after I finished my explanations, and began muttering himself, almost disdainfully, repeating my words "battery" and "rewinding."
Perplexed, I questioned the person about his behavior, to which he responded with his honest feelings, that the word invention should not be used to describe parts that extend the life of a pre-existing device.
Furthermore, he mentioned that there were far more permanent solutions than conventional batteries or oscillating, analog parts.
I knew full well what he was alluding to, ridiculous as the concept might be.
In my professional opinion, a clock that can run autonomously and within an acceptable margin of error is either the world's greatest invention or its most naïve delusion.
No, a realist such as myself would do better to focus on the conservation of energy (perhaps heat?), rather than chase after this cock-and-bull notion of perpetual motion.
Perhaps I will look into it in greater depth after I leave the manor?
On the subject of the manor, after two days of, shall we say, "exploration"... I have basically confirmed that there is a "person" of great interest. This "person" and their owner are both worthy of further investigation.
Lastly, when I used my doll to follow the said "person" earlier today, I found that self-same "naïve" fellow skulking in the shadows nearby as well...

Serial No. 10-0-1
Name: Tracy Reznik (the name was altered)
[Test Indicators]

2. High-achieving Student (the indicator was altered)
3. Defect Testing
[Inclination]
A "sophisticated device" with missing components.
[Test Results]
1. Overall Evaluation: A superb mind, sharp observation and excellent execution ability made Subject 10-0-1 the best student. She completed each and every step in answering the questions during the experiment, but as key information was missing, she couldn't get the correct answer within the timeframe given.
2. Methodology:
As a substitute, Subject 10-0-1 demonstrated intelligence and observation skills much higher caliber than those we saw in previous experiments. We had no choice but to bring the executioner early to monitor her.
However, such precautionary monitoring ultimately led to an intervention due to the arrival of Subject 10-0-2 and a change in the executioner's subjectivity.
Up until now, for the first time during the lengthy experiment, there was a subject who challenged the rules of the game and a collaborator who fit the subject almost perfectly. Subject 10-0-1 knew herself well and became extremely confident once she had the assistance of Subject 10-0-2 as the "last component." While she was hoping to win, she also wanted to get ahold of the bonus rewards. Even though things didn't turn out as she'd hoped, she fulfilled her role brilliantly throughout the experiment as the guide and acted as the catalyst for the generation of the long-awaited winner.
3. Analysis Summary:
When the subject of the previous experiment failed, I took the suggestion to take on the new Subject 10-0-1. As the drug used in this experiment had already entered a steady phase, the main purpose of this experiment was to assess the risks of the overall operational mechanism of the experiments.
Due to Subject 10-0-1's superb "performance," the risks of the mechanism were fully exposed. However, whether such risks would still be threatening with the effects of the drugs requires further verification in the next set of experiments.
It's worth noting that, throughout the experiment, Subject 10-0-1's grasp of the experiment content exceeded my expectations. It's yet unclear whether this was caused by the nature of the subjects in this group, certain uncontrollable factors coming from the experiment itself, or remnants from earlier experiments.
No matter the reason, we must handle the subjects carefully and in a timely manner despite the results of the experiment going forward.
The Last Page of a Diary (2023)
In this unsupervised or perhaps tacitly sabotaged game, I cannot ascertain the true skill and intentions of the other participants. A friendly collaborator may also be a hidden threat. I'm in a dilemma of safety plagued by suspicion and uncertainty, so I am forced to make the decisions that pose the least risk for me. It is the only lesson I learned from what happened back then. Meanwhile, that ""additional reward"" became a destabilizing factor. Should I throw it away, or should I use it? I think its existence itself is a choice the owner of this place wishes for me to make.
In the afternoon, a new participant arrived at the manor. Those aircraft designs prove that he is talented in mechanics as well. I attempted to win his trust by sharing similar experiences, and that amount of sharing seems to work quite well now. The only surprising thing to me is that he shows no joy or pride in his designs and pays more attention to aircraft accidents. And the clippings he has collected are clearly not solely for the sake of making improved inventions. So, is there any uncertainty in the goodwill that is so easily obtained from him? Tomorrow is the most critical moment of the game. Even though I still have an advantage, for some reason, I'm not really looking forward to tomorrow. Another participant has cleaned up the ""scene"" in secret, which at the very least, shows that he is friendly. Maybe I should have a chat with him. The four of ""us"" should join forces.
Of course, I should be prepared for rejection, especially against his ""assistant.""
The autonomy it exhibits cannot be underestimated.

Compiled Overview
Background
Tracy is the daughter of a watchmaker named Mark, who lost his wife Irene to illness. As he ran the watch shop, he found that Tracy was a genius with machines and as a mechanic. Eventually she made an improved clock that was prone to less errors and required less adjustments, which made her father's shop famous. Unfortunately, an explosion occurred one night at the shop while her father was working there, killing him. Rival clockmakers had become jealous of this new invention, and wanted it for themselves, but Mark refused to sell it, instead wanting to wait until Tracy was of age to decide herself. This wasn't the answer they wanted, so they killed him. After this, they target Tracy, and lied about her being in debt because of her father purchasing some rare parts he hadn't paid off yet, and wanted her to sell to them her invention. She asks for time. During the following 6 months, similar explosions to the one that killed her father occur. The culprit was never discovered, with the only hint being the strange joints found at each scene. Tracy was likely the person who set off these bombs, using her remote controlled dolls to do so without being discovered after investigating and reverse engineering the explosion that took her father's life. As a result, she never had to sell her invention.
Tracy then threw herself into her experimentation and began trying to make a mechanical doll to replace her dead father. Unfortunately, her experiments to perfect the doll as a recreation of her father causes her to become burdened with debt. Despite this, she went to the manor not just for the monetary reward, but because of the "secret mechanisms" and mechanical parts she could find there.
It is currently unknown what occurred to her at Oletus Manor.
Events at the Manor
Not much is known beside the fact that she participated in Group 10's Manor Game, including Aeroplanist, "Prisoner", an unknown participant and Guard 26 as an executioner.
Alternate Theories and Conclusions
- It is possible that Tracy is from the Czech Republic, Russia, or Ukraine due to her last name, Reznik, being Czech, Russian, and Ukrainian for "butcher."
- From Guard 26's 2021 letter, she (or at least, her father) is connected to Mad Eyes, as the letter is a correspondence between Mark Reznik and Burke Lapadura.
