The Transmission Box is an exclusive tool and item for the "Prisoner", Luca Balsa. They cannot be found in a chest.
Gameplay[]

When interacted with in-game, a top-down map of the current game location will open up, with each Cipher Machine marked along with their progress. By selecting two machines, they will then be connected by an electric conduit that can only be seen by Survivors. This conduit allows decoding progress to be shared between the two machines. It also allows the "Prisoner" to set up an electric area of effect around the Cipher Machine he is working on, which charges his stun ability that he can activate later.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
The transmission boxes are square metal boxes with black wires connecting it to the ground and several colored wires sticking out of it. There is a lightbulb that glows yellow when the cipher is connected.
Costume Changes[]
Their appearance can be changed when the "Prisoner" has the following costumes equipped:
- S-Tier
- Fugue for Dawn - TBA
- The Viper - The transmission boxes are solid gold ornaments with Aztec carvings and floating emerald crystals.
- Paranormal Detective - His transmission boxes are metallic gold radios with white screens and black indicators.
- Osamu Dazai - His transmission boxes are an open versions of Osamu Dazai's Favorite Book.
- A-Tier
- Auditorium - His transmission boxes are vintage movie cameras with glowing purple bulbs.
- Ben-Hur - The transmission boxes are now silver daggers stabbing the ground.
- Electrolysis - His transmission boxes are vintage glass bulbs with brass-and-copper bulb holders and matching wires.
- Graduation Day - TBA
- L - His transmission boxes are small computers with "L" logos and faint yellow glows.
- OPH.LUCA - His Transmission Box now takes the form of a video game console, with the screen displaying the default cracked Identity V loading screen with the Muse Mark.
- Rantaro Amami - His transmission boxes are tablets with a half-black and half-white cover. The screen is visibly cracked in the corner and displays the Gifted Juveniles Academy insignia softly glowing white in the center. Pink blood is also splattered across it.
- Ray - His transmission boxes are retro candy tins with two metal prods sticking out of one end. The words "MILK CANDY: FOR YOUNG CHILDREN" are printed on the tin.
- Rice - His Transmission Box is now a white portable game console, with black and red buttons, and a black antenna. The screen displays a white image of Rice, and displaying from the screen in a hologram is a light purple image of the same character.
- Winter Cicada - His transmission boxes are traditional lanterns with frost-covered black metal frames and matching handles, and four fitted glass panes covered with frost, containing cicadas frozen in ice.
Accessory Changes[]
Their special effect when used can be changed when the "Prisoner" has the following accessories equipped:
- S-Tier
- Crystal Palace - The area of effect becomes a white crystal-like kaleidoscope. The stun effect and conduit is made of iridescent shards of crystal.
- Osamu Dazai's Favorite Book - The area of effect becomes a white paper-like grid. The stun effect and conduit is a line of blue Japanese text.
- A-Tier
- Art of Science - The area of effect becomes dark blue and has formulas enscribed. The stun effect and conduit is made of dark blue electricity that also displays scientific formulas.
- Gloomy Ghost - TBA
