Identity V Wiki

An Unlock Card is an item that allows the player to permanently obtain an emote, standby motion, or costume of choice for free by redeeming it.

This item is different from Trial Cards, which only allow temporary use of the costume/emote/standby motion. Trial Cards will say the length of time they will be usable in the top left of the image.

Using[]

  1. Go to the costume/emote/standby motion you want to redeem from the notebook menu and select it.
  2. There will be a film clapperboard icon in the bottom right of the screen that will say "Trial." Clicking on that icon while the costume/emote/standby motion is selected will then give you the option to use your unlock card.
  3. Confirm it is the correct customization you want, and then it will be added to that character's permanent inventory!

Note: Limited customizations and those purchasable with Echoes only cannot be redeemed using these cards.

Variations[]

  • B-Costume
  • A-Costume
  • S-Costume
  • B-Accessory
  • Emotes
  • Standby Motions
  • Rank Portrait Frame, which are unlocked with Rank Portrait Frame Exchange Card which can be obtained from Rank Treasures and have their own menu to redeem portrait frames from.
  • Character, which is obtained in Event Store (Remnants Menu) and Anniversary Event only.

Dismantling Unlock Cards[]

Unlock Cards can be dismantled into Fragments. To dismantle a card, go into your character costume list, and select a costume that is the same tier costume of the card you want to dismantle. Using the clapperboard icon on the bottom-right side of the screen, select an unlock card, then confirm you want to dismantle. Rank Portrait Frame Exchange Cards can be dismantled in the Rank Portrait Frame Menu.

You can also enter Item List in Notebook, select an unlock card, click the dismantle icon, sort amounts of the same unlock cards, then confirm you want to dismantle.

This is generally not recommended, as the Fragments obtained from dismantling is not equal to the price of a B or A-Tier cosmetic.

B-Tier Costume 200

Trivia[]

  • You cannot unlock limited customizations or customizations from the current Season. If you'd like to unlock a cosmetic from the current Season, you will have to wait until the next one to use the unlock card.
  • Typically, three A-Tier costume Unlock Cards are given out per year; at the Spring Festival and the Chinese & Global Anniversaries.
    • Before 2024, you could only get two A-Tier costume Unlock Cards, as the Anniversary Unlock was only available to the servers' respective Anniversary Event.
  • S-Tier costume Unlock Cards are only obtainable as prizes in competitions, such as during the Theater Event, or by purchasing them with 8500 points from the official Top Up website. They will likely never be given out as a event reward like other types of Unlock Cards.
  • Unused in the files, a graphic for a C-Tier Costume Unlock/Trial Card exists, made at the same time with the other tiers. It's unused probably due to C-Tier Costumes being easy to get.
