Y.R. is the biological mother of Aesop Carl, the Embalmer.

Appearance[]

She only appears in "Gatto"'s flashback during the Truth & Inference trailer, The Silent Rebel.

She has long gray hair tied in a ponytail and a fair skin. She is wearing a black long dress with puffy sleeves.

It is most likely that Embalmer inherited his looks from her.

Compiled Overview[]

Y.R.'s life is unknown in most of its content, only a few details is known. It is unclear if she was married to Aesop's biological father but she seems to hold no ill will against him and even describing him positively as "popular and elegant gentleman" in her letter to her son.[1] The current state of Aesop's biological father is currently unknown but he might be deceased, or simply be unwilling to take his son in.

At some point she "could no longer endure any suffering", and with the help of Jerry Carl she decided to leave this world. The nature of this passing is unclear, whether or not Jerry had "convinced" Y.R. to "help her collapsing soul find comfort and relief", or if she had come to him of her own accord.

She entrusted her son with Jerry, an embalmer and a close acquaintance, who took care of her funeral. She also wrote a letter to Aesop beforehand, giving it to her close friend Elisa to deliver.

When she was buried yellow rose bushes were planted on her grave. They were her favorite flowers, later also Aesop's favorite flowers.

Alternate Theories and Conclusions[]

  • At the time of writing this, Y.R.'s full name is not known. It is likely that Y.R. are her initials.
    • Some theorize that the R in her name could stand for Russell, making her a partner or relative of Arthur Russell, however there is no evidence towards this.
  • It is unknown whether or not Jerry had "convinced" Y.R. to "help her collapsing soul find comfort and relief", or if she had come to him of her own accord.[1]
    • It is also unknown why Y.R. had Elisa deliver the letter to Aesop instead of Jerry.
